Since I'm new here I thought I'd do a pin post so people could better understand what I'm up to and what to expect (cats and bags and all that), so:
My name is Lana and I'm from Ukraine. This is important cus, as you all (I hope), know, there's an ongoing war in my country and me, my family and a lot of my friends are direct victims of russia's agression and imperialism. I was under blockade and occupation, my entire hometown was ruined completely. I have PTSD, so I am very insistently asking russians and their apologists, h*ated r*valry fans, communists etc to stay away from me. I get reminded of your existence every single day with missiles, air alerts, power outages and obituaries, and I want to have peace at least in fandom spaces.
Getting back to fandom topics: I am mainly in the Supernatural fandom, Castiel is my favorite character, like, ever, and I am a Destiel monoshipper (at least in a sense that they totally outshine any other options these two could have lol)
Some of my other favorite duos/characters: Castiel&Balthazar (we should talk about them more bruh!!!), Castiel&Crowley, Dean&Crowley, Dean&Charlie, Michael&Adam, Dean&Benny, Bobby&Rufus, Bobby&Crowley, Claire&Dean&Castiel, Rowena wherever she exists, she's automatically perfect π, whatever people say but I actually liked Mary, exactly because she wasn't perfect; I like Gabriel, and adore Jack and Eileen!!
I do Not like Meg, though, she is a serial sexual assaulter and I think characters like this do not deserve redemption arcs (especially as poorly written as hers); the same goes to Becky and Lucifer. Wincest and all the similar dni as well!!

I finally started actually working on the plot for my HS&College AU and oh my goddd those children are so adorable I wanna squish them. My dumbasses. People love to scream at Dean and frame him as selfish for his relationship to Cas, but Dean is the first person to treat Cas as another person. He cares about what Cas thinks. He's also the first person ever to protect Cas.
ok wait also. the famous bobby chasing john off the property with a shotgun line IS explained in the Supernatural: Bobby Singerβs Guide to Hunting book. Somewhere around the mid 90βs john drops Sam and Dean off with Bobby to go on a hunt in Montana and then essentially drops off the face of the earth. heβs gone for so long that Bobby eventually decides to tell Sam and Dean that he must have died. sam apparently takes awhile to process this and goes very quiet and dean gets really angry. bobby says this is the biggest fight he and dean ever had. then dean disappears into the night and returns hours later with john in tow. deanβd tried to hitchhike to montana on his own to find john and accidentally caught his dad, totally unharmed and completely fine (capable of answering bobbyβs phone calls, bobby takes care to mention john did own a cellphone at this point), on the way back. john packs the boys into the impala and tells them theyβre going to stay with somebody who βactually cares about themβ and bobby becomes so enraged that he pulls out the shotgun and starts firing.

and its not just that sam is less critical of john than dean. as early as 2.02 sam is saying he wants to do things because john would have wanted them to and he's using john's parenting and hunting as a guide for his own decision making.
meanwhile, after s1, while dean sometimes talks about john's life with empathy for john being in difficult situations, he is consistent about not wanting to be like john and not seeing johns choices as things to emulate.

I firmly believe that cas is equally weak to "I like you"-s as he is to "I love you"-s from Dean. Dean repeats both endlessly when he's blissed out from being fucked, and Cas is sooo affected by both.
