Since I'm new here I thought I'd do a pin post so people could better understand what I'm up to and what to expect (cats and bags and all that), so:
My name is Lana and I'm from Ukraine. This is important cus, as you all (I hope), know, there's an ongoing war in my country and me, my family and a lot of my friends are direct victims of russia's agression and imperialism. I was under blockade and occupation, my entire hometown was ruined completely. I have PTSD, so I am very insistently asking russians and their apologists, h*ated r*valry fans, communists etc to stay away from me. I get reminded of your existence every single day with missiles, air alerts, power outages and obituaries, and I want to have peace at least in fandom spaces.
Getting back to fandom topics: I am mainly in the Supernatural fandom, Castiel is my favorite character, like, ever, and I am a Destiel monoshipper (at least in a sense that they totally outshine any other options these two could have lol)
Some of my other favorite duos/characters: Castiel&Balthazar (we should talk about them more bruh!!!), Castiel&Crowley, Dean&Crowley, Dean&Charlie, Michael&Adam, Dean&Benny, Bobby&Rufus, Bobby&Crowley, Claire&Dean&Castiel, Rowena wherever she exists, she's automatically perfect ๐, whatever people say but I actually liked Mary, exactly because she wasn't perfect; I like Gabriel, and adore Jack and Eileen!!
I do Not like Meg, though, she is a serial sexual assaulter and I think characters like this do not deserve redemption arcs (especially as poorly written as hers); the same goes to Becky and Lucifer. Wincest and all the similar dni as well!!

Maybe it isn't the best choice for the part 2 premise of my fic but I just wanted to say how much delight for me was to write this morgue scene specifically as is actually based on my irl experience lol. It's not like I ever expected to be scared or disgusted by witnessing an autopsy, but I'm sure as hell did not expect to be amused by it either, and our coroner was entirely at fault for that. Like that lady was absolutely hilarious and I wanna honor her by basing a character off of her ๐โโ๏ธ

See THAT one gives the terrible evil feeling that he'd wind up in a situation where everyone BUT him kisses Cas, and by the end of the cases he is in AGONY.
if sam kisses cas after such case dean's next excuse would definitely be "we gotta even the score now" OR "we don't know if it worked 100%, sam wasn't thorough enough, we gotta make sure buddy"

So sam's ofc like - FINE then -EYE- will go tell them the important and super pressing plot details
So he goes in there and he's like "Hey guys, get this,"
and they both poke their sudsy heads out and Sam is like WAIT โโโ ARE YOU GUYS IN THERE NAKED โโโ
To which Dean is like, "Duh."
Cas: "Do you bathe with YOUR clothes on, Sam?"
And Sam is like "NO but you're in there..." (together) "...naked"
And Dean is like "Bodies are a beautiful, natural things, Sammy."
this line is so underrated. sam and bobby are the ones being practical and trying to argue that cas just might be working behind their backs, while dean is clearly devastated by the mere idea of it and in deep denial. the story has him in the position of the betrayed lover. this scene is entirely about dean refusing to accept the possibility of cas betraying them (him) while bobby and sam talk to him calmly and delicately, knowing exactly how hard this is for dean especially. so for dean to then joke that sam would be the lois lane to casโ supermanโฆ dean is clearly projecting here. like so glaringly that it forces even general audience members to go โno, sam would definitely not be the lois in this scenario.โ this line shines a spotlight on the romantic nature of this entire episodeโs plot and shows that ben edlund was undoubtedly aware of the connotations of deanโs behavior here.

Samgirls talking about season 4 Dean's fear of season 4 Sam turning himself into a monster is often so funny because much like season 4 Sam... they... simply forget that Dean spent 40 years in hell being tortured... and that that process is in fact the process that creates demons in the Supernatural universe. Dean was being corrupted toward demonhood for four decades. Sam was simply speedrunning the "becoming a demon" process by drinking blood (a far more pleasant process than the way it happened to Dean).
When Dean gets terrified of Sam turning into a monster (a demon!) it's not a dogmatic "monster bad" or "Dad said so" coming from Mr I Have Never Experienced The Pain Of Slowly Turning Into A Monster. Dean literally had experienced that. He told Sam about it and everything (and then Sam called him a pussy about it like 17 times in a row and ignored it so so do samgirls I guess. It never happened since Sam said it was no big deal and Dean was actually just a wuss.)
When Dean is extremely adamant about Sam not turning himself into a monster he is speaking from having actually felt what that is like. It is Dean being terrified for Sam over something that Dean himself has actually experienced beginning to happen to him. It's just when it was happening to Dean, it was in a context where he could not stop it, while Sam is repeatedly making the choice to keep doing this to himself for a variety of Reasonsโข๏ธ.
