There are billions of people and billions of cats in the world, but we found each other. You are my soulmate. I love you more than I could love anyone in the world.

We were not two different beings. We were one. One heart. One person. Always together. My hand in your fur. Your paw lying on my skin while you are asleep. Your critical complaints in my ears. My voice saying your name and your happy purr in response.

We’ve shared a pillow every night for eighteen years. But now I can’t feel you anymore.

My world has shattered into thousands of pieces.

My heart is broken.
