Welcome to the Midnight Shift

“Well my dad is kind of important And he has a few contacts around  Here that he is interested in getting Reconnected with.” He smiled at the Man and chuckled “Maybe I do.” He Said with a shrug, “But I like it here.”

“No one likes it here.” Jim grumbled with a roll of his eyes. “This city is doomed, full of crime and death...” He was a cop. he lived here, and maybe he should be a little more ‘light’ about it, but it was hard when a voice in the back constantly whispered about sinners.  “Hope your dad can take care of himself.”

“I’m not one to get all starry eyed or any of that,but the beard... it’s kind of happening.”

“I’d ask if I should be worried, but I’m really not, have no reason to be.”

“Please tell my I don’t have to lie on my paper work again, I’m beginning to run out of excuses.”

“Do I know you?”

Jim twitches at the woman’s presence and his eyes flash green, but he smiles and just nods his head.  “Pleasure, m’lady.”
