So many scenes in TVL are actually incredible and if you kind of view them in isolation without context it's great tv, but it's the surrounding plot around those great scenes that don't make sense to me. It feels like sometimes we're just plopped from scene to scene with it have no effect on the story and also zero build up or explanations of why something is happening. Just snapshots of good writing joined together in a disjointed and horribly paced way.
