Dear Writer,
Thanks for your patience! Between navigating a new job, some family stuff, and the general insanity of 2025, I found myself short of time to write a YT letter. If you've already started on my gift, disregard the below. When I say I will be happy regardless, it's the truth. I think it always shines through when a writer writes the story they want to write. With that said, if you are still looking for inspo, I hope the below helps!
Coldfire Trilogy Damien and Gerald are my all-time OTP, and I've been lucky enough to receive and write for this fandom in Yuletides past. This year, feel free to explore beyond my usual fix-its & missing canon scenes requests (which you can find in previous YT letters on this blog). Have an AU idea? Go for it. Have a post-canon idea that hurts more than it heals? Be my guest. Don't ship them romantically? Ok, Friedman, canon-level whatever-they-have-going-on is also great. Shuten/Rajura brought me into fandom, back in the days of Minks Yaoi Cake Archive and Amanda Swiftgold's page. But I'm open to non-shipping fic ideas, or any permutation of Masho that floats your boat as long as there is plenty of Shuten. (And UST is always welcome). I would love to see something pre-canon that explores their group dynamics. How does Shuten become their leader? Did Arago appoint him immediately? Was it a What is This Feeling moment, or did the loathing/jealousy take time?
Dimension 20: Escape from the Bloodkeep
I won't confess to how many times I have watched this series. Give me Leiland, in all of his confident bad luck, whether pre-canon or post-canon as Leiland Jr's godfather. Feel free to ship/not ship with any of the cast, and if Longfoot and Hamhead make an appearance, it definitely wouldn't be amiss. If you're looking for a scenario prompt, Leiland hosting a birthday party for Leiland Jr and it all goes awry would be exactly the kind of scene I would enjoy.
Uprooted
Give me a post-canon fix-it for my favorite makes-each other-worse couple. What does Solya/Marek's dynamic look like without that hungry, blind ambition? (Obviously Marek miraculously lives, but some hurt/comfort would not go amiss). Would like to see a focus on what happens when the life you planned goes very, very awry, and how you make something unexpectedly better from it. With that said, these two are still definitely bastards so have fun with it!
The Summer War
I added a new canon request this year! I rushed out the day the book was released and while the novella-length was perfect, it still left me wanting more content. (Plus, how is there just one fic on ao3!) I'm always a hurt/comfort simp - I'd love to see more of Argent's recovery during the palace rebuild. But I'm equally curious about a scene with Argent/Elithyon right after Veris announces it will be their wedding that seals the peace - what does that conversation look like when they are finally alone and can process that wild shift from thinking Argent would die to having a happy-ever-after in reach? Open to Yuleporn here if that's where they take the scene, but I'd also just love a glimpse of who they are together.
