kind of wild how HotD is like “the other nobles will view Rhaenyra as less capable because she has emotions and has not numbed herself to the loss of life. they will act as though her emotions are tied to her womanhood, and therefore they will say her being a woman makes her weak.” and then after every episode I log onto this website and see people going “wow I can’t believe they made rhaenyra cry when she did an extremely hard task immediately after the death of her son. they really turned her into a weak woman. this must be because the show runners hate women” …yall 😭
demanding an unwavering confidence and lack of emotion from a woman thrown into a new and difficult situation as she is actively grieving is you looking at someone having very normal human experiences and emotions (being overwhelmed by new expectations/experiences, being upset by the death of your loved ones, struggling with the concept of taking life) and immediately dismissing those experiences as "the show runners are writing her to be a weak woman.” you are uncomfortable with a woman showing emotion.
