Coworkers are bitching about teenagers coming to the park during school hours. First of all you do not know that they are supposed to be in school. School is not prison. Second of all who gives a shit. We are in Baltimore and I would much rather these kids come hang out in the woods than. Like. Literally anywhere else. Do not make them feel bad for being outside.

We had a 13-year-old who was spending every afternoon in the library playing games on the computers for a little while, and his parents got upset and wanted us to do something, but like, what? Kick him out so he's on the streets instead? We can't stop your kid from skipping school, and if they're going to skip school, coming to the library instead is pretty much the best possible outcome.

To add onto this. Who is she to be called about kids being in a store? Why is it her business? You don’t know her or her relation to any kids… it’s not just snitching, it’s putting children in a potentially dangerous situation. Unfortunately people suck and I wouldn’t trust her “concern” about kids’ records. :/
