It's fascinating to me that the Donkey Kong Country tv show introduced the Crystal Coconut, a powerful macguffin that K. Rool constantly tries to take from the kongs,
then Donkey Kong 64 introduced crystal coconuts as an item used to fuel the kong barrels.
Whether or not Rare intended to use this, I do like when adaptations can actually inspire something in the video games.

I don't play Fortnite, but this trailer for Pomni and Jax being added to the game is hilarious.
Also, poor Pomni escaping the tortures of the Digital Circus only to be now tortured in Fortnite.
Candy Kong was absent in the Country sequels, but they brought her back in DK64 in the most glorious way.
Also, wow, the fact Rareware was able to get away with all these innuendos AND still be an E rated game.
These challenges were fun, I hope they put out more in the future, maybe also include some from DK64, Country Returns, and Tropical Freeze.

It's funny seeing Funky go from a surfer dude who specializes in vehicles to a weapons guy running his own armory.
Donkey Kong Bananza is currently having a special emerald rush event that is Mario themed, with DK dressed as Mario, Pauline as Luigi, apples are super mushrooms, treasure chests are ? Blocks, banandium chips are gold coins, and the music playing is a remix of Ground Theme.
I do hope they'll let you keep the outfit afterwards, I really like how they look,
Pauline especially looks cute.
I feel sorry for those who grew up playing Diddy's Kong Quest and Dixie Kong's Double Trouble,
You meet Wrinkly Kong, and she becomes part of the Kong crew,
Only to play DK64 and find out she's passed away and is now a spirit. Nintendo games rarely have characters' death be canon, so this is quite the surprise to see included.
It's interesting that the characters communicate with each other through thought bubbles like in Garfield.
It's nice to see another trailer for Kingdom Hearts IV, just to let us know the game is still planning to come out at some point, also cool to see it getting a Switch 2 release.
I wish they would show off at least one or two new worlds for this game, I really want to know what they have planned for this new game. (Worlds based off Zootopia, Raya and the Last Dragon, Inside Out, The Incredibles, maybe even Ralph Breaks the Internet)

You know what the greatest thing about getting all the Kingdom Hearts games re-released on the Switch 2 would be?
Having a physical copy with an actual cartridge instead of a cloud version.
Dude, did Nintendo just announce an HD remake of Ocarina of Time?! Are they gearing us up for the live action movie with this?
It's seems like Nintendo has been on a nostalgia kick lately releasing games based on N64 titles. Think about it:
Donkey Kong Bananza - Donkey Kong 64
Star Fox Remake - Star Fox 64
Pokemon Champions - Pokemon Stadium
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book - Yoshi's Story
Kirby Air Riders is technically GameCube based, ut it still fits the subject.
Hmm, Squawks and Cranky seem more concerned about DK's bananas being stolen rather then his friends being captured. I guess that's just how important those bananas really are.
Here is a tour of DK's 64 treehouse.
DK has a picture of Candy on his wall, which he gas had even in the first Country.
There is a phonograph, which is likely the same one Cranky had in Country's intro.
And on the flip side is the boombox that DK had in Country's intro.
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds has been crazy with what it's been adding to it's roster.
We'll be getting Avatar: The Last Airbender at some point.
Godzilla being added to the game, because Sonic has lately been doing a bunch of stuff with the king of the monsters.
And... Neon Genesis Evangelion? Of all the things to crossover with Sonic, this doesn't seem like the right thing to do, but Sega probably has the rights to it or something.

All of DK's friends get captured at the start of 64.
Which I'd say is fair since Donkey Kong himself was captured and in need of saving in both Diddy's Kong Quest and Dixie Kong's Double Trouble.
King K. Rool in DK64 is portrayed as a mix of Blofeld, Dr. Claw, and Darth Vader.
