“i’M tIrEd Of ThE nOt LiKe OtHeR gIrLs TrOpE” okay and i’m tired of people acting like any girl who has a personality beyond bland relatability is personally offending them.

not every female lead has to be a perfectly generic placeholder with no quirks, no awkwardness, and no sense of self just so discourse can feel morally superior about it.

some girls are weird. some girls are intense. some girls are awkward and a little “not like the other girls” cuz, shockingly, real people are often weird about being perceived and don’t all fit into your preferred generic-girl mold.

the way people throw a tantrum every time a story starts with a girl who doesn’t fit in is funny to me cuz….. yes. that is an actual experience. not the writers committing a hate crime against feminism.

anyway i’m not really impressed by y’all pretending “girl who’s different from other kids” is the end of storytelling just cuz the internet got tired of the phrase and started using it as shorthand for “female character who sucks”.

also, i know the whole “falling into a magic fantasy world” is a childish trope. and it’s a bit overdone. but in this day and age, what the fuck ISN’T a bit overdone?????

D23, 2026 Brings Interactive Animation Pavilions For Walt Disney Studios Slate.

Today, Disney unveiled details about what fans will experience on the show floor at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event (August 14-16) presented by Visa, with all-new and fan-favorite offerings celebrating Disney’s brands and franchises across the largest show floor in D23 event history.

Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Animation Studios are also joining forces for a must-see animation experience on the show floor, inclusive of a special celebration of Pixar’s 40th anniversary. Artist demonstrations, autograph signings with some top filmmakers, fan giveaways, and interactive displays featuring the latest films from these iconic animation studios — including the upcoming Walt Disney Animation Studios projects like Hexed, Lilo & Scratch and Frozen 3, as well as Pixar’s Gatto, Loving Dory, a unannounced Pixar film and Incredibles 3 — make this pavilion one to visit again and again.

At select times throughout the day, Bluey and Bingo will be available for photos in The Bluey Movie booth — for real life. Reservations are required for a chance to meet Bluey and Bingo.
