I really enjoyed the movie. Milly was honestly phenomenal. She was one of the best superhero portrayals I've seen in a long time. Supergirl is raw, she is messy, and she is perseverance. The quote âClark sees the best in everyone and I see the truth,â is a true message about the duality of hope. Supergirl has known suffering; she is lost and tired, and she doesn't know if she can keep going, yet she does good; she is good. She is an image of better days to come for Ruthye. She is an image of the suffering and the struggling that you have power within to preserve. Eve was great as Ruthye. I loved Ruthye in the comic this movie was based on, and I am so happy I got to see her shine on the big screen. Ruthye is such encreadable character. If this movie came out when I was a little kid, she would have been my personality for the foreseeable future. Ruthye is out for revenge, and she is willing to do anything to do it. She is bold, strong, and kind of stupid, and I love all those things about her. Kara and Ruthye have one of the best relationships I have seen in a superhero movie in a while. Kara doesn't want Ruthye to turn out like her; she wants her to love a life full where she can move on like Kara never could, and I think that is so beautiful. I could have done without Lobo in the movie. I don't really love Lobo in general, but every time I saw him, I really hoped it would be the last. I thought that the scene in the bar where he first makes a cameo was fun, but honestly that is all that was needed. That scene (or maybe the opening scene) was my favorite scene from the movie, and a cameo would have been cool there, but I think all his other appearances take away from the powerhouse that is Supergirl. Can we talk about the opening scene? Oh my god, that really set up my hatred for Krem in a heartbeat. I was shocked, and I loved it. I also absolutely loved the needle drop in Supergirl. I was honestly surprised to see so many people dislike it. I thought it was fun, different, and honestly, that is a song I grew up listening to, and I loved seeing it. Kara killing Krem at the end of the movie was so satisfying. I loved it.
