Soooo at my job, we do this thing for kids where when they give us a receipt to check them out of the store, we draw a smiley face.
But the other day, we started using highlighters instead of sharpies. Not a huge deal, a bright yellow smiley face might be a bit harder to see but it's still distinguishable.
But I realized a problem.
I have two very special twins that come in. They do not want smiley faces.
They want dinosaurs.
Being an (okay) art student, I loved the challenge of doodling out dinos for them before the line got too long.
Since most of the other employees just give them a smiley face, I have become their favorite employee. The boys speak both English and Chinese, and their dad told me I have been nicknamed in Chinese: "Dinosaur Auntie".
With highlighters it would be hard for me to see what I'm drawing, and they probably wouldn't enjoy the dinos as much.
But *I* am Dinosaur Auntie.
So, I decided to make some ready to go dino doodles with a bit more detail. Took a couple tries but here are my attempts at simple sketches with references.
Davinci it ain't, but I like them.
