I don’t have any big analysis on the chapter, it was extremely enjoyable, I love how fast paced and tense it was and the fighting & strategies are all hella peak. We got a lot of focus on Kage and we finally get to see tamakoma 1 fight—Konami’s trigger changing shape is incredible, the dual bladed sword instead of an axe is awesome—plus some ilgars were released?? It was so hype and I can’t wait for the next chapter. Hyuse needs to show up😭

BUT! While I don’t have any big analysis there’s one scene that’s just way too good

The things it says about each of their characters without actually saying anything or putting too big a focus on it is just TOO GOOD!!

For Narasaka, it shows how good a shot he is and how well he can strategize to hit his target. He knows Kage. He perfectly aligned it so that when Kage dodges—because it’s Kage, when his SE goes off it’s his instinct to avoid it rather than shield—it’d hit Kakizaki. That’s impressive on its own, but him shooting Kageura instead of Kakizaki also made the bullet way more of a surprise for zaki so he wouldn’t have time to react and put a shield up. Going through Kage prevents zaki from seeing it quickly. For Kageura, I love the use of his side effect AND how this shows how by instinct he moves and how little attention he can pay to his surroundings—allies, not opponents—sometimes. He felt it going for him so he dodged without noticing Zaki behind him or the bullets trajectory. And then Inukai comes in, shielding Zaki at just the right time. Because Inukai is always aware of his surroundings, it’s nothing special that he calls attention to he’s just there and watching and paying attention to everyone. It’s shown in many of his fights. He’s hella perceptive and I like that coolness of thought & perceptions to the wildness of Kage. They end up working pretty good together, it was a smooth series of movements where Inukai accurately covered Kage’s faults

Inukai was there to support so nothing happened, but Narasaka is seriously scary😭 all the A ranks are—dude WHY did Reiji punch through a wall?? Why was he there. Please I thought he was the normal one.

(In all seriousness that WAS a hella good strategy as they had no way of knowing he was there or preparing for him, him breaking through a literal WALL creates an element of surprise that slows the reaction time of his opponents, it was once again thanks to timely support, this time from Suwa, that inukai and zaki remained unharmed despite the excellent play. I also really like how he targeted those two, who were supporting Kageura by limiting Konami. Because it’s the same as their usual strategy, as startling as it was, of him and kyosuke supporting Konami as she runs wild. Inukai and zaki were limiting Konami’s options, Reiji goes to stop them so she can fight freely against Kageura. Kyosuke’s support later on was hella good as well. They’re a finely oiled team and with Jin so far going on defense/support for them all…? They’re gonna be extremely hard to beat. I wonder if we’ll see Reiji or Torimaru’s specialized triggers, since Konami and Michael are using theirs).

Its so fun to read the fast paced fighting and strategies, because there are amazing strategies at play even if they don’t work, and the only reason they don’t is because all of their opponents are skilled and supporting each other. Everybody’s capabilities are being pushed to the limit here.
