Yo-Saff-Bridge folk art doll. I finished crocheting her shawl a few days ago. It’s yarn I spun awhile ago and over dyed with red as the original colour of the wool was...not pleasant.

Saffron’s dress is made from a piece of vintage French linen stained with black tea. Her legs and apron are from scraps of cotton from my scrap box. Tbh I ran out of the cotton calico I use for doll faces/bodies so I made do with what I had. Her buttons are vintage from my collection, and her face is hand painted. She is for sale if anyone in interested, though I mostly just made her to amuse myself while rewatching Firefly with the mister.

Finally some good pictures of my Yo-Saff-Bridge cosplay at Tucson CSTS 2013! I still cannot believe that I won in the Firefly Category(you can see the shock on my face) It was such a great night, plus for the first time in years I had friends there and we had a blast singing along to Dr. Horrible and they had never seen Serenity before so seeing their reactions was priceless. I cannot wait for next year!!
