3 days Detox Plan
So I've been paying a lot of attention to what I'm eating lately, not because I'm aiming for a "thigh gap" or a body like "Megan Fox" but because I want to make sure I won't stop trying to achieve being the best version of myself. Summer is coming up and I'm more than excited to finally wear that cute skirt that's been waiting for me in my closet during all these rainy days :)
Just to be clear, I am certainly not doing this Juice Fast to lose weight or to fit in to my favorite blue pants sooner, but because it helped me before. A Juice Fast is not something you should do more often than maybe 3 times a year, and next to all the diet plans that suggest to detox for 5 days, I learned from experience and my body can't take longer than a 3 day plan.
During a Detox Diet, whatever the diet is that you might choose, it is very important to get a lot of sleep and don't do anything exhausting, which is why I choose to do the cleansing during my week of holidays. This way I can sleep as much as I want to without having to go to school, work, the gym or any other freetime activities.
The juice fast that I choose to do is a type of detox diet that involves consuming only raw vegetable, almond/cashew milk and water for a short period of time. It is considered one of the more rapid methods of detoxification due to the reduced food intake and absence of solid food.
Leaving food out of my daily routine is a really hard step for me, considering that even though I do pay attention to what I am eating, I love food. But I know that after these 3 days, I will feel better, healthier, more relaxed, my skin will improve and I am totally ready to get myself where I want to be. In the next few posts I will explain my Diet Plan recipes and how I am dealing with 3 days without food. :))
