Everything in Beacon Hills is the same when Stiles comes home from college.

Well, except for the fact that he's a published author now, Scott is halfway across the world with a travelling circus, Erica's epilepsy has been cured, her boss offers him a job too, and there's this weird black dog that seems to be following him around just to judge him.

Oh, and the murders, of course.

Even better if it’s something hilariously trivial that finally clues him in, like he falls asleep on the couch and human shaped Derek always carries him to bed, but this time he woke up still on the couch.

I can imagine this is how Parrish is introduced to a fully shifted werewolf for the first time. Derek shifted and the full moon’s effects haven’t worn off yet. Parrish follows Stiles inside and sees him have a full blown conversation with a dog (or what looks like a dog)

Except for one person who just moved in and found a dog asleep under the tree in their yard. They don’t know who Stiles is and the vet doesn’t open for another hour or so, so she takes the dog/wolf to the police station. Derek just walks past the front desk and straight into the sheriff’s office where Noah looks at him and simply asks, “Again?”

Ok this but Sterek lol.

Derek shifts into a full wolf for the first time in front of the pack, and everyone (minus the Hales) are kind of really terrified of him because they still believe that the "human" and the "wolf" are two separate consciousness inside werewolves, when in reality it's just a clash of evolved vs baser instincts.

Anyways, Stiles is the onlg one approaches Derek, and despite Derek's glare pets him/kisses him. Derek tries to resist, of course, but in the end he ends up on his back, asking for tummy rubs and more pets and kisses. (He bites off everyone who comes close to him, except Kira, whom he allows to pet him exactly once).

Stiles was in for a long, wakeful night. 

He was devastated when Derek left after Mexico, but had been doing okay for a while now.

Then the werewolf came back—a lethal blow for Stiles moving on.

It'll always be him.

A huff from his open window had Stiles looking from his bed to see unnaturally blue eyes. The wolf padded silently over, resting front paws on Stiles's comforter, waiting. 

Stiles sighed, then sunk his fingers into Derek's lush fur.

Fuck it. 

He said, “I love you,” and when Derek whined and licked his face, Stiles realised maybe that was okay.
