April 11
I forgot to take a picture yesterday of my class bc everything was a whirlwind.
Got to AfterBurn a little early, nervous af bc of what I’d heard about it. I was the first one there and got to meet my instructor, David, who was super nice and told me all about the HR monitors, versaclimber, and how to go from each station to the next. It sounded like stuff I could do, similar to my RippedPHL class from Sunday, so I got less intimidated. Ended up doing my stuff next to two girls that were definitely regulars, but it was fine other than the one really beautiful fit girl who kept farting bean farts on the treadmill lololol. The treads and strength were ok I guess, I didn’t love that the instructor didn’t really come to watch form on the strength part, which is probably what I struggle with most, especially in terms of ab moves and push ups, but it was fine. We got to use those cool TRX bands which I have seen before but never actually touched. Then there was the versaclimber lol which SLAUGHTERED me. It’s a full body machine, but the movement can be so awkward and because I’m so short, it’s harder to get the right speed and movement down when they tell you to sprint or get to a certain height of climbing. Woof. I’m surprised though, my arms aren’t as sore as I thought they’d be. David told me essentially since it’s my first class, my goal should be to not stop, and I didn’t. So. That’s good.
Only ending up burning like 550 calories, even though some people warned it would be more like 750-1000. Maybe it was this particular class, since it changes every time. Who knows. It wasn’t as impossible as I had heard though. I actually thought my other class was more strenuous.
But yay two ClassPass classes down! I still wanna try FlyWheel and probably a yoga class before this month finishes up. Maybe some other cool one like boxing or dance also? 😝
Also, I got home and Ani was in the middle of T25 Ab Intervals so I finished that out with her bc why not. My abs hurt today for the third day in a row haha.
