Leo: everyone that's anyone im not picky

Nico: really anyone

Leo: of course why are you trying to ask me out

Nico won’t even let Jason in the fort, there is a surprisingly threatening skeleton kitten sitting at the entrance that hisses at him every time he comes close.

Jason’s not really sure what to do, he’s never been very good at this and sitting outside the fort asking Nico what’s wrong and why he won’t let Jason in really isn’t helping.

Percy is closest, so he texts him first (look at me forever ignoring that they can’t use cell phones)

Percy called Hazel on the way, which he only tells Jason when he’s in front of the door and it’s too late anyway.

So Jason resigns himself that there is no avoiding calling the rest now anyway, because who is he kidding, Hazel is definitely bringing Frank

Much to Jason’s surprise, Nico lets Percy into the fort. Probably because he made tea before he even asked Nico to let him in.

Frank makes it easy, when he comes, he just turns into a cat himself to sneak past the skeleton at the entrance and curls up in Nico’s lap, purring instantly. Nico actually cracks a smile at that.

When Hazel comes in she sees Nico resting with his back against Percy’s chest, and while he still looks a little gloomy, he is petting Frank (who seems very content with the situation). Hazel sits down next to her brother, takes his hand and tries to get to tell him what’s wrong.

“‘s just a bad day.” Is all she gets out of him

Reyna, Piper and Annabeth all arrive together, which probably should make Jason suspicious, but he’s still pouting that the kitten won’t let him in and doesn’t pay much attention.

Leo comes last, carrying a backpack that almost makes him fall over. As it turns out, he brought a home-made pocket-sized home cinema. Jason doesn’t comment that it’s not exactly pocket sized when he helps Leo set it up around the entrance, draping the blankets around the corners so they basically have a little cave.

Jason only now notices that the kitten is gone, and when he and Leo join the rest in the fort, he sees it next to Frank.

Leo unceremoniously raises Frank out of Nico’s lap to plop down there himself (the skeleton kitty follows with a hiss in Leo’s direction). No one comments when Frank and the kitty curl up on Leo instead now.

basically it’s all one big pile of cuddles, Jason playfully pushes Percy off Nico and when he sits down instead, Nico immediately leans against him, whispering the quietest thank you in Jason’s ear.
