He was just going to leave this timeline alone - he’d seen enough to be satisfied that this Shadow Milk was… improving. He might come back later to review their progress, but for now things looked good.

no  sooner  does  the  beast  send  the  message  than  a  portal  opens  up  —  a  familiar  swirl  of  azure  blue  and  black.  maestro  pokes  his  head  through,  sporting  a  cheeky  grin.  ❝  sooo.  ❞  he  stretches  the  word  out  deliberately,  drifting  fully  into  the  timeline  proper.  ( a  flick  of  the  wrist  closes  the  portal  behind  him. )  in  his  free  hand,  the  beast  brandishes  his  phone  —  the  chat  window  still  open  on  the  screen.  ❝  did  it  go  through?  oh,  puh-LEASE  me  it  went  through.  ❞   he  holds  it  up  and  gives  it  a  little  shake  for  emphasis.  ❝  ooh,  the  picture,  too.  did  the  picture  go  through?  ❞  it  is  of  the  utmost  importance  that  the  picture  went  through.

It was all fun and games until his head popped off like a doll being squeezed too violently.

Eve took the other jester’s juggling as playful competition, observing the rhythm in which he carried the balls before pulling out a few of her own. While he managed three, she attempted four to show off, flashing the smaller creature a smug grin — before he opted to use his own head as a fourth object.

That smug grin wiped off the fool’s face in record time, all of the toys scattering like mice as they bounced away from her grasp. The smile Eve always wore remained, of course — only now, it was frozen in shock, pin pricks of rectangular pupils staring at the cookie so nonchalantly juggling his head and somehow still alive.

“Wha — ???? HUH???? HOW ARE YOU EVEN STILL…??? DO YOU NEED HELP?”

Eve is going to have an episode.

Anyplace like Snoozeville always needs a little excitement- blessed be this day that he has arrived to liven things up a bit. And fortunately there was no Pure Vanilla around to stop this little meet and re-greet.

"Oh, some rumors drifted on the rift across dimensions, and.... you could say I like feeding some bad habits~" he cooed.

Just then, he heard someone approaching. His heart raced as his yellow eyecings widened. Panic ran through his form as he feared that group was coming back to beat him up even more. Fueled by fear, the necromancer turned to make a run for a nearby bush, but as he did so, he tripped over the end of his scythe, doing a painful belly flop onto the ground with a thud. Pain resonated through his body as the jerk to the ground sent fire through his already hurt shoulder. and his scythe spun across the ground, launched out of his hands.

he nearly drops his phone in another burst of anger. barely resisting the urge to break it, pure vanilla instead paces back and forth, muttering to himself and earning strange looks from the few villagers nearby, trying to clean up the messes he'd left behind. how did everything go so wrong in such a short amount of time?

How did he do that? No, wait, how was it even possible-?! Well, there's no need for looking into the realm of possibilities and impossibilities here, because regardless of what the answer may be... Kokichi could only answer with a rather amused smirk.

Such a little guy, too. The liar found himself amused that the smaller being didn't even utter so much as a peep when he was settled on his shoulder ever so casually. Perhaps there was a reason as to why the atmosphere was rather eerily calm. A sense of...familiarity between them that even Kokichi could not miss.

"Nishishi~ I took you by surprise, didn't I? Why such a shocked expression on your face, are you really that dumbstruck to see someone like me? Trust me, I wouldn't harm you. In fact, you look like some sort of forbidden snack if I've ever seen one."
