Que blinking from Fountain for a few moments staring back at them. There's a few things, ok a whole lot of things, currently running through his head at seeing them. Hand clutching the large key staff he always keeps at his side.

Should he ask? Probably. Automatic response ends up being the end of his key staff, poking the blue cookie in the cheek a couple of times. Muttering about pranks and or a spell going wrong.

She pushed the doors open and left them that way as she entered the spire. Despite knowing she'd be pulled along by the master of this realm at any moment, she walked forward.

The beast of apathy lacked the urgency of her last visit. But there was still something off about her. She did not appear the unmoving pillar of stone she often presented herself to be.

This time, she looked... haunted. Like someone after witnessing a tragedy, with the bitter taste of bile still on the tongue.

An odd look for someone who had caused so much suffering and pain.

Today, she'd forgone her usual veil entirely, hair messily done as if someone had been pulling on it. The tiny claw marks on the back of her robes gave away the culprit and implied who had taken said veil.

For the little haetae had been worried upon seeing her so shaken. Having to force her out of this vision when her pain became obvious to the outside observer. Then, when she offered no explanation, they attempted to stop her departure. An adorably futile effort...

Which only made the urge to vomit stronger.

So she walked the spire's winding halls like a cookie possessed.

head snapping a full 180 degrees. pupils dilated. sounds of scuttling rapidly approaching her location.

he'd been fretting, sitting inside and watching the commotion through any window. pure vanilla tries not to let anxiety and fear overrule his thoughts, but in this instance, there'd been literally NOTHING he could do.

until now.

when maestro comes bursting in, nearly tearing the door off its hinges in his rush, pure vanilla is rushing for the pair, panic and frantic murmurs pouring from his lips in one breath. it's almost like he isn't breathing at all at this point. he only has one free hand, but he's gripping maestro by the arm, yanking him closer and whispering his reassurances in his ear before taking sylphrena in his arms, barely keeping a hold of his staff. pure vanilla has to change his grip to carry her in his arms, but as long as he can still see the path before him, it matters not.

urging maestro to follow him, pure vanilla carries her to his makeshift hospital wing, setting her down on a bed. then, casts a shield around the entire room to protect all three of them.

"you'll be okay," pure vanilla tries to reassure her. he's not sure if she can even hear him at this point, but he feels as though both shadow milks need to hear this from him. plus, it gives him something to focus on than the sheer terror he'd felt moments before.

sitting in a chair next to her, he rests his staff against the wall, letting his vision go completely blank. he doesn't need eyes to see this part; he can feel her energy all the same. holding his hands above her body, he begins the slow process of healing her injuries, trying his best to mend her, going as slow as possible so as to not aggravate her injuries.

"i hope this is helping," he continues, still waiting for any sign of revival from her. with his shield up now, there's no real rush. all three of them are protected.

And there it goes...

“Hmm, now who would leave such a delicious and delicate little cookie just laying about? Hmm, the icing is quite detailed gotta admit. Haaa smells nice too.~”

The Vice Captain spoke as he picks up the cookie, turning it around to inspect with a playful smirk.
