Okay so:

I know that the original concept in canon implies it has something to do with Ultimilk, but I am ignoring that because I have 0 muse for that guy(s).

So he and Candy Apple really are just… harbingers of the apocalypse, travelling from world to world to trigger entropy and end times should they fail the tests and when the time is right (when the planets align).

Who made him? Why have they given him this task? He’s keeping that to himself.

I think a better question is which ones don’t have trouble falling/staying asleep: Peach Blossom and Charcoal.

Sage’s sleeping troubles have been talked about extensively at this point.

Elder Faerie barely sleeps and it is rarely restful.

Shadow Milk also barely sleeps and yeah. Not usually for very long.

Wildberry has always been easy to wake and struggled to go back to sleep once roused.

Black Sapphire has nightmares and also barely sleeps.

Manju has an easier time than most of the others but he struggles to settle.

Menthol used to be a decent sleeper but… not anymore.

Doughael does not sleep well.

Mold Dough does not sleep long and he’s easy to wake, but I feel that could change with time to adjust to freedom. Also cannot sleep if his siblings aren’t nearby.
