They’re really over here arguing over the definition of dysphoria, absolutely screaming that it’s distress and to be trans you don’t need to feel distress, screaming that it’s true because they said it, but clearly we wouldn’t even need a definition of gender dysphoria if it wasn’t required to be trans. There wouldn’t be billions of articles and experts talking on it, or studies on it and people specializing in that field such as gender therapists, and the APA definitely wouldn’t have made those two large articles or questions and answers on gender dysphoria if it wasn’t needed and people weren’t confused on it because it’s a new mental disorder.

You wouldn’t need a gender dysphoria diagnosis to go onto HRT or transition medically, and tucutes wouldn’t have to lie or give out those stupid, shitty little tips about fucking lying to their gender counselors for their diagnosis. If it wasn’t required, it’d be so easy for me to go right on down to the pharmacy and pick up some hormones, but that’s not how it fucking works and it’ll never work like that because it’s understood in reality that you need dysphoria to be trans.

Like, when we say dysphoria we mean gender dysphoria. You need GENDER DYSPHORIA to transition. You need DYSPHORIA to be transgender.
