#transmeds

Yes I'm otherkin (vague amorphous flesh creature that shapes itself into a simulacrum of a human), and sinnergender. Though I don't really openly post about it because it's not crazy important. And yes I love trans people who only socially transition, or are happy not going "all the way" with physical transitioning. Because I love when trans people. All of them.

Also transmeds are intersexist as fuck too and i have like a million posts about this if you search any transmed tags on my blog.

The middle ground can be tempting. Trying to build bridges with people driven by hate can sound appealing.

It doesn't work because even when you veer to the other side as Wu did, you will NEVER be accepted by them. Not truly.

Wu willingly threw other trans people under the bus, and this was her reward.

There can be no middle ground with people who hate you for existing. There is no compromise and there never has been.

Now, at the end of this, Wu asks her "trans sisters" to set aside things to move forward.

And can I just say...

How incredibly presumptive this is! She may consider her business with the trans community settled, but she still did irreparable harm! She still is continuing much of the behavior that led the trans community to turn against her.

I'm not posting this so people will sympathize with Brianna Wu. She's still a transmed. She's still a terrible human being. She STILL is making posts blaming the trans community for pushing her own actions. Even this post is accusing the trans community of "extremism."

I am posting this as a reminder for anyone who thinks the path forward is to cozy up to people who hate you and those like you for existing. It doesn't matter if those people are TERFs, transmeds, sysmeds, MAGAts or whatever. They aren't interested in meeting in compromise. They only care about hurting you.

I dont remember exactly (it was yeeeaaaars ago at this point, I was in my early-mid twenties), but a poster here on tumblr made a point that simply made it impossible to deny how wrong I was in my understanding of dysphoria and its requirement to be trans. I dont think they were talking to me directly. I remember the post talking about how transitioning will often lessen dysphoria, and for some, it goes away entirely. That really threw a wrench into my bigotry because i couldn't think my way out of it. If a person transitions, either with hormones, surgery, or whatever means works for them and the changes made makes their dysphoria go away, they are still trans. They never stop being trans just because they 'healed', which proved that the dysphoria part wasn't actually required at all, that it was something that some of us suffered and some of us healed from.

Do they know that this is just transmedicalism all over again? And that the community hates transmedicalism for a reason?
