I haven't written anything in nearing months now for various reasons, and was mostly stuck on the next chapter of Let Light Be Light which I planned to be a Delly POV set about a year after the last chapter and I was just so stuck and couldn't figure it out and then Thom knocked on the side of my brain and was like, excuse me ma'am I have a lot to say first, so I reworked the chapter outline and am actually getting somewhere now!! 🙌
...but also in turn I have turned up the drama about 1000% and will probably lose some of my 6 subscribers in giving Thom more pathos that makes him flawed and complicated but OH WELL!!! I gotta tell the story my brain wants me to tell and it can be just for me. (people say that all the time, i'll try to believe it lololol)
Anyway, here's a juicy snip for you please send good vibes that I can keep feeling capable of writing and actually get something posted this month!!!!

- Thom's parents and little brother died when he was 13, of pneumonia. He was taken to the community home and kept on quarentine for a month, before being mixed with the rest of the kids. He and Delly get married the day after she turns seventeen. They have a VERY active sex life. Their first daughter is born on the first day of winter but her name is Summer.
-Gale moved to District Two, and I couldnt care less what he's been up to.
-Prim and Mrs Everdeen move to District 4. By the time Katniss gets married to Peeta, Prim is finished with her nursing training, so she comes back for the wedding and she stays in Twelve for a couple of years, to get some "real life" experience before moving on with her studies.
-Reese Donner takes over his his parents sweetshop, and he provides an ample ammount of gummybears for K and P's toasting, because he knows she loves them. He barely recognizes Prim, who's nearly as tall as him and with a slight tan. He gets injured a lot after that.
- Madge and Rye live together in town. He runs a restaurant right next to the bakery and she's the kindergarten teacher. She still refuses to marry him even after being together for ten years and all the kids calling her Mrs Mellark.
Time for an update! – Chapter 23 of Damaged, Broken, and Unhinged!
Please pay attention to all trigger warnings and tags. This holds true from now until the end of the fic - we will update all tags as we add chapters. This story starts off in a fairly dark place. We guarantee there will be a happy ending if you stick with us.
Thom comes with me reluctantly. He knows what my idea of fun is. When we’re out of earshot, he says, “Are we going under the fence?”
“Yup.”
“Can’t we just… set up traps in the Meadow?”
“No.”
“What about the Victor’s Village? We can set up traps there.”
I tilt my head and look at my friend. “Do you trust me?”
“Of course I do!” He seems almost offended that I’d ask the question.
“Then trust that I won’t let anything happen to you.”
Sooo, I thought it could be fun to share my girls here. ^^’ I intend on giving them proper art (and more info) sometime, but for now I’ll have to do with screenshots. Some of these are well-played while others have barely been touched at all so far, but I love them all and will play them eventually.
I’ve basically only played them with hubby, so far I’ve been too shy to play with others.. Which have made a lot of people assuming we ERP.. T--T Anyway, here they are if anyone would be interested in seeing/reading. ^^’
(I actually prefer playing horde, it’s not very visible here.. .__.’)
Illevandra Frostleaf
Kaldorei, druid (healer).
Illevandra is young, barely an adult. She grew up with her aunt in a small cabin outside of Lor’danel after her parents died. She’s newly awoken from the dream (and Nightmare) after a long time. None she knew before is still alive, the horde and alliance are both new to her and she’s just trying to find her place in the world while helping people in the war.
At a first glance she might seem insecure because of her shyness, but she doesn’t show a sign of that when it’s needed.
Illevandra only talks/understands Darnassian.
Thelsara “Thelly” Ashborn
Sin’dorei, Warlock.
Thelly grew up in Silvermoon city as part of the noble house ‘’Ebondrake’’, a house with only warlocks. Her mother died giving birth to her and she always had a hard time being a warlock, which made her father and older sister hate her. After many horrible years she decided to let go of her family name and took the name ‘’Ashborn’’ instead.
Together with her partner and childhood friend Quileren (I’ll probably upload lots of stuff with him too) she have a daughter called Belladine.
Ellenaua
Draenei, Paladin (Tank).
Ellenaua leads a small troupe of paladins in Stormwind. A couple of years ago all paladins in her troup was brutally murdered in a surprise attack. Ellenaua was taken hostige and was kept a slave for a group of orcs for weeks before she was rescued by another troupe. She joined them and fell completely for her officer. They had a secret and intense romance for a few years before he died and she had to take his place.
Ellenaua use alcohol and sex as “therapy” and stay away from people when it’s not necessary.
Asyndria
Kaldorei, Demon hunter.
Asyndria have no memory of her life before becoming a demon hunter. She never show any emotions and seem like she doesn’t care about anyone but herself. Which is partly true. She’s seen The burning legion kill thousands after thousands of people right in front of her. She knows how vulnerable life is and tries her best to not get too attached to other people than herself.
Belladine “Bee” Silverstride
Sin’dorei, Hunter.
Belladine is a ‘’Daddy’s girl’’, being basically a copy of her father. She dreams about exploring the world and wants to have fun while she can. She’s the kind of girl you could see dancing wasted and topless on a table at an inn, but she’s careful and can take care of herself, thanks to her father.
Yimata
Pandaren, Monk.
A wanna-be monk that works with cooking and cleaning in one of the big temples in Pandaria. She’s mute and always writes stuff on her chalkboard. Yimata is an energic, stubborn and positive girl with a heart of gold.
She’s recently met Thuvien, a kaldorei monk that’s decided to take her with him back to Eastern kingdoms to teach her.

"Is this happening?" he asked, panting heavily into her neck.
Delly pulled back and took his face in her hands, "Thom Ward if you don't take me right now I'll never forgive you."
Hey so I wrote those 1000 words (and then some!) that I told myself I had to so that I could post this finished work depicting the still not finished 3rd chapter of Let Light Be Light.
But I also got tagged in a WIP Wednesday by lovely @firehelpmeforget who loves this story so in her honor please enjoy the first 1,100 words of this chapter as a sneaky preview treat.
Chapter 3 Preview Under The Cut!
The old secondhand percolator gurgles sharply on the counter, filling the room with the nutty scent of the roasted beans. She hasn't made coffee since her father died. But she had some in the cupboard. She tries to have a little of everything in the house, just in case.
Delly sits stiffly in the early morning light at the small kitchen table that only seats two. She pulls her housecoat further around herself and sighs.
She is in a fiercely terrible mood. She has been for a few days now but this really does take the cake.
Last night had been enough, the chaos and the embarrassment.
But this morning, Thom Ward passed out on her sofa, was the worst of it.
She has no idea what she'll say when he wakes up. She wants to say so many things and none of them are nice. Not a one.
He's making it hard for her to practice saying them in her head. Because he looks absolutely gorgeous. Stripped down to his snug undershirt with an arm flung up over his eyes. She hasn't seen this much of him since the summer. When she was still pretending not to notice how the rich color of his skin seems to accent the deep ridges of his muscles. The sight of his chest rising slowly as he sleeps is making heat bloom across hers, but she can't look away.
She's been sitting here staring at him practically since dawn. Never having really slept, sneaking out of bed at least once an hour to secretly check on him.
She might be angry, but she still loves him after all.
She's been working on that part.
The percolator finishes brewing and lets out a high pitched electronic beep to announce itself, startling the both of them.
Thom opens his eyes slowly and they immediately lock onto hers from across the room. She can see the awareness creeping into his face as his gaze flits away to take in his surroundings.
He runs a hand down his face and stretches awkwardly before starting to sit up slightly.
"I made coffee." Delly says quietly, "You can go wash up if you want." She gestures her chin toward the bathroom.
His voice is hoarse, "I should probably just go—"
"You're not going anywhere," she interrupts in a serious tone she's never used with him before. "You have a lot of things to explain to me."
He nods slowly and she can tell it's spinning his head. He squints even in the dim morning light and reaches for his trousers that are hanging off the sofa arm.
"You took those off yourself, for the record." Delly tells him.
He looks at the ground shamefully before gathering his trousers in a ball in front of his lap and shuffling off to the bathroom.
When she hears the door click behind him she finally rises from her chair to go make some toast. He'll probably be able to keep that down. She doesn't know exactly how much he drank last night, but it was clearly plenty.
She reaches into the sparse cupboard for one of her three mismatched plates. Even though there isn’t much, it’s all her own. It’s nice to have plates, to have a kitchen, to have a house.
At the start of the year the government had passed the District Twelve Restoration Act, promising to make them whole again. And more crews showed up with huge machinery to conjure a new town square. As one of the surviving merchant families, Delly and her brother had been given one of the storefronts with an apartment above it outright.
They got to move in a few months ago, but the store is still empty. Taking over the family shoe business was always going to be Danny's responsibility, and he still needs to finish school. And the thought of renting it to another business and having to kick them out in a few years hurt Delly's feelings too much.
For now she's letting Walter from the market next door store pallets of bricks in there for the storeroom extension he's already planning. It doesn't bring in as many coins as a store would, but she's gotten a lot better at trading with advice from Katniss. She's apparently quite good at convincing people of the value of things.
And she has all of her little jobs. The reason on paper was for supplemental income, but the truth is she's still trying to figure out who she's going to be. What would the future be like now that she got to choose?
She thought a huge choice had already been made, but he took it away like it wasn't hers to make.
"Was that Thom?" Danny's voice appearing in the kitchen startles her. "Did he sleep here last night?" he asks in an exaggerated whisper.
"Danny go to school." Delly says firmly.
"It's like 6am and I haven't even eaten breakfast!" He argues like a little brother, even though he's about to be sixteen and is not little at all. Delly often feels like she lives with a giant blond bear.
She grabs an orange out of the bowl on the counter and throws it in his direction, "There you go."
He catches it, but takes another step into the kitchen to eye her with a smug look, "So boyfriends are allowed to sleep over now, very interesting…"
"He's not my boyfriend." She corrects, and it hurts more to say it than expected.
Danny raises a skeptical eyebrow, "Are you sure? Because I thought—"
She snaps, "Danforth Cartwright go to school right now!"
He raises up his hands defensively, he should know she only ever gets this stern when she's really, really upset. "Fine, fine. I'm gone."
He slips on shoes and grabs his book bag as he backs out the front door. She waits to make sure she hears his footsteps down the stairs. Wouldn't put it past him to stay and spy. Cartwrights seem to have a penchant for gossip as a family trait.
He does indeed go, leaving her alone with her thoughts again. But the sound of the sink running on the other side of the wall reminds her that she isn't alone at all.
Last week, Thom staying over wouldn't have given her this much anxiety. She wouldn't have let him of course, she's trying to set a good example for Danny. She remembers the things her group of friends started getting up to at his age, and knows that he wouldn't well listen to her if she was brazenly having boyfriends spend the night.
But Thom is not her boyfriend.
Even though she really thought he was just a few days ago.
And is that so crazy? He kissed her! He kissed her first!
