Kara was sent to Earth to protect her baby cousin.

Instead, she arrives to find him already grown; no longer Kal-El of Krypton, but Khalil of Palestine. Superman.

She survives the destruction of her homeworld only to land in another world shaped by occupation, displacement, grief, and survival. Palestine becomes her second home not because it is peaceful, but because people continue loving, rebuilding, laughing, resisting, and protecting one another despite everything being done to break them.

Kara is impulsive, emotional, reactive, and deeply empathetic. She carries immense survivor’s guilt from Krypton and an almost self-destructive need to protect others from experiencing the same loss she did. She believes no one deserves to be dehumanized, and when confronted with cruelty toward defenseless people, she struggles to stay restrained.

Her greatest fear is not death.

It is becoming a weapon.

A symbol emptied of humanity.

You found him in the depths of a dungeon—a tiny slime of molten rock, so insignificant that most adventurers wouldn't even bother killing. But something about him caught your eye.

He started following you after that, incinerating your trash with a satisfied sizzle, cleaning up your mess like a loyal stray. You talked to him, fed him scraps, and watched him wobble with eagerness. He couldn't speak back, but he was an eager listener.

He grew.... First came copied words, then limbs, then a silhouette that began to mirror yours. Maybe he absorbed more than just your scraps—maybe he absorbed you in a way he wanted to be human too, to be appealing to you.

Before long, he wasn't a blob anymore. He had shoulders, a face, eyes like cooling embers. He became your fierce protector, melting anything that dared threaten you.

He named himself Ignis. Why? Because it suited him, obviously—duh.

And it wasn't just his appearance that burned hot—his attitude followed suit. He got demanding! Possessive, Spicy.

“Y/N! I explicitly told you not to linger by that pond and gawk at those ugly water slimes!” His voice crackled with jealousy, molten eyes flaring with every word.

But at the end of the day, Ignis was still that clumsy, lovable creature you'd found. He just happened to have the powers to incinerate anyone who crossed him.

The story/universe is titled Fruit Salad ! :D it came to mind because fruit andddd like cuz salad is made of vegetablesss I dunno bleh

All the fruits (stella, Owen, Bailey, Alex) were friends and all the vegetables (Callum, char, Chloe, Perrin) were friends before the main story starts aka before the 2 groups met :3

Callum, Charlotte, Chloe & Perrin are all in a band called Crusade

Callum has a younger sister named Cassidy/Cas (currently 17) who LOVES all things horror. She still mainly lives with her and callum's grandmother and takes care of her, but often travels on road in a camper van with a few friends and explores abandoned buildings !!

The story takes place in a small town in Canada. Not sure where. Just in Canada. Maybe I'll figure out exactly where one day.

Most people in town can recognize eachother. It's a pretty small area, but very lively. The town is in between 2 large cities so they will often get people stopping by. It's small enough that you could walk across town in about an hour and a half or 2 with traffic, but large enough that they have a train system.

All fruits & veggies will develop like the actual real thing does. Ex: strawberries will start as white flowers, some vegetables will change colour. In the same way, when they get older they start to darken, leaves die, etc.

After a show, crusade will typically all sneak in to the café where Char works after hours and she'll cook them all dinner or dessert. She typically doesn't get to cook much on the job so she loves getting the chance to experiment in the kitchen

Their town has a very low crime rate because all the criminals are in the big cities

Perrin has lived between multiple different foster families since birth, never stuck with the same one for more than a year due to being a "problem child", he doesn't believe he has an actual family, but they consider all their friends his found family

Stella and alex's mom is an apple and dad is a strawberry. They are both very very friendly and loving and joyous. Their bloodline is Mexican, but all 4 living in the house mainly just speak english except for talking to their grandparents

Perrin and Char both drive motorcycles and will often drive around town together

Perrin and Stella both have dogs that they walk together, stella's is the family dog but she will often go over to her parents house to walk the dog. Perrin's dog is very small and will sometimes accompany them on his motorcycle, Stella's is a huge Bernese mountain dog

Perrin has diagnosed ADHD, Owen has diagnosed autism, and Chloe is undiagnosed but almost certainly neurodivergent. Alex may also have ADHD but he doesn't like to think about it

Most flags besides Canada in the character profiles are just where their ancestors originate, most were born and raised in Canada. However Bailey moved from the Philippines when she was a preteen, Chloe moved from Japan when she was 5, and Char moved from France for college before dropping out and just decided to stay in Canada

Owen has a hamster named hamster

Chloe and char were already together ahead of the plot, but the others happen over the course of the story

Dmitry Volkov (he/him, 30) grew up as the only child of Russian immigrants in a modest New Jersey suburb after moving from Novosibirsk when he was 8. His father was a mechanic; his mother worked nights cleaning offices. From them, Dmitry learned discipline, emotional restraint, and the belief that good manners could open just as many doors as ambition.

After earning his MBA on scholarship, Dmitry carved out a career path in private wealth management. Beyond his looks, Dmitry became a client favorite for the steady way he made people feel understood. His attentiveness, composure, and disarming kindness made him easy to trust and difficult to forget.

Personality: To most, Dmitry seems like the perfect gentleman. He’s thoughtful, gentle, and unfailingly polite. But if you manage to look deeper, you might notice some cracks. He’s extremely conflict-averse, prone to bottling what he can’t process and sometimes makes the wrong choices trying to spare someone’s feelings. Still, he’ll spoil you rotten and is the last person you’d expect to hurt anyone.
