One of my favourite Harry Potter ships is Lunarry (Luna x Harry) for reasons I will not be explaining here BECAUSE I have a headcanon :)

What do you think would happen if Tom and Luna meet? And how would Harry feel about they meeting?

I think Tom could have a lot of reactions, it just depends on how and when Luna is introduced to him.

In any universe, Tom would feel threatened by her relationship with Harry. At first it’s because he believes that her oddness will negatively impact Harry’s social status (like there’s any saving that) but eventually it’s because she understands Harry nearly as well as he does. Being that Tom’s similarity to Harry is his main selling point, he’s furious.

I think if he met her in a universe where he didn’t know Harry, he’d be unnerved by her. He’d also think it’s a waste of talent that she can weaponize her empathy against him so well; she can look right through Tom, understand his motives and character almost instinctively, but then she’d break the moment with an odd comment about nonexistent nargles. Tom thinks she’s fucking with him.

In the end though, without Harry’s influence, Tom’s final conclusion would be that she’s weak. To Tom, Luna's emotional intelligence is her only skill of note, and seeing how he doesn't care much for empathy, he wouldn't think much of her.
