Once a simple stop on the great road between Neyros and Iranur, this sleepy oasis town had somewhat of a rebirth after the great mage Cyrexe visited the place, and found the waters of the oasis very fascinating indeed, and began to construct themselves a tower at the waters edge, to study the verdant waters, going on about “unawakened magical properties.
Since then, the place has seen an influx of different travellers, from mages wishing to study under Cyrexe at the Dunewatch tower, or to experience the burgeoning leisure businesses that have begun to take advantage of the lakes waters.
If you’re looking for a place to stay, there are plenty of options here. The Silken Sand Inn offers comfy beds and meals, in competition with the Road and Rest, among many other simple bunkhouses and rooms for rent. If you want a more exciting stay, the Sapphires Glint has grown into a giant, leading the charge on expanding the towns reputation, with their spa, boat tours, and nightly performances, travellers of all kind are welcomed, if they have the coin to spend.
Adaras Garden is a quieter stop, one of the older stores in town, selling medicinal herbs and plants, and offering a good spot for local gossip, if you want to filter through the business-minded talk. The Wizards Winery also offers a quieter time, run by the mages tower and its students, and the Exalted Exchange offers a place to trade or purchase with the mages too.
Perhaps you’ll look into the mysteries around town. Maybe the mysteries of the oasis have drawn you to this place, and you wish to be the one to uncover its secrets. Perhaps you’re an archaeologist, searching for ancient ruins supposedly near the town. Or perhaps, you are simply a traveller, looking to rest your head and bathe in the cool waters of the oasis.
