I didn't really see it at first but their fanart got to me, they're so cute 😭❤️🩹 I've also been rewatching op and paying more attention to them and their dynamics, they make me so happy.
I have my main Sanji ship but I love love love Usopp and Sanji's dynamic be it platonic or romantic.
I like the idea of Usopp getting even more love so Usopp ships are welcome, specially sanuso since Sanji is such a kind and gentle soul and would treat him so well 🫶 Like make his bfs favorite meals when he feels more insecure and also Usopp helping Sanji lessen his "stress-smoking" habit.
Just them helping each other in general really. They're both really insecure and both feel unworthy of being part of the crew, for their own reasons. I think that helps them rely on each other a lot because they have this extra thing they relate to each other about. They all love each other in the crew but I don't think Zoro or Franky would understand Usopp or Sanji on the level they understand each other. (Not saying they don't understand them at all, they're all really emotionally intelligent, just can't understanding in a relating way)
Imagine them laying in a hammock and talking about how sometimes they think they're not worthy of being part of this. I think they'd help each other with it. Plus there's cuddles :3
