#sun spells

this is a simple tea brew to boost your energies and sweeten your mood, with help from our darling sun! could also be a way of connecting with the sun if there are clouds or winter time ♡

ingredients:

☀️ sun water (happiness, strength)

☀️ earl gray tea (protection, love, luck)

☀️ dried lemon peels (uplifting, happiness)

☀️ honey (love, to sweeten the outcome)

steps:

1. mix the earl gray with lemon peels and brew your tea

2. add the honey and stir it clockwise while repeating:

“may i shine like the sun, and through this brew, let this power flow through me, and so mote it be!”

4. imagine the cup to be filled with sunbeams as you drink it!

A ritual for letting go of hurtful comments that you cannot get out of your mind. Originally by Cassandra Eason.

What you need:

Four candles in a row, the left one orange, then pink, purple, and yellow/gold. (colors of the sunset)

White paper and a pencil

An eraser

Timing: At Sunset

1.) Stand so you can see the sunset through a window. Light the candles left to right, while saying “ Let it go. Words leave my mind. You, (Name of person), were unkind. But each day I kindle your words anew. It hurts me, rather than you.“

2.) Write the words of hate on the paper, then word by word, staring at the end, erase them backwards, saying “Word by word, gone from my mind, wiped from my heart, so peace can I find.”

3.) Extinguish the candles in reverse order of lighting, saying afterwards “Gone, done. I start anew. Dragging old hurts at last is through.”

Today’s bit was performed as a way of wrapping the spell up, giving our thanks to the Cosmos and asking for one last boost.

As it was performed on a Sunday, our target was the Sun itself! This great Star is associated with success, employment, money, optimism and self-confidence – so contacting it is the best chance of sending all of these gifts and virtues to whoever is in need of a job :)

Some of the herbs that correspond to the Sun are these, I made sure to use most of them*:

Bergamot

Chamomile

Cinnamon

Citronella

Laurel

Mandarin

Orange

Rosemary

Sunflower

First, I draw a sigil for the Sun on one side of a bay leaf, and a sigil with my intent on the other side, and burnt it.

I used @sanctuarywitch ‘s great one-word spell for sending positive energy to someone, added my friend’s name and made a sigil out of it**.

I made sure to use corresponding colours for the candle and for the sigils (those would be: gold, red, orange or yellow)

Then I gathered my ingredients and the ashes and placed them in a small coloured bag (you can also use a piece of cloth) and sealed it using wax from the candle and a golden thread

Finally, I placed this last bag in the empty matchbox, where I kept the two last bags, and left it outside for the whole day. I’ll be picking it up tomorrow morning and storing it somewhere safe until my friend gets a job –then I’ll make sure to clear it up!

“Its Special Move are firing rays of sunlight from all of its petals.”

An enchantment spell to fill an object with the energies of the sun to be used to bring energy, health, and confidence to the wearer of the enchanted object. 

You Will Need:

Sun Water

Sunflower(s)

Marigold

Small Bowl

Jewelry you can get wet

A Sunny Day

Steps:

Find a place either outside to work or in a room with lots of windows with sunlight shining through them.

In your bowl add your sunflower petals and marigold

Pour your sun water into the bowl and as you add it say “Sunshine, Sunlight, solar energy give me might” as many times as you feel is necessary.

Take your piece of jewelry and lower it into the mixture and hover your hands over it and close your eyes. Focus on the sunlight you feel on you skin and the solar energy held in the water and flowers below your hands. Visualize this radiant gold energy filling and infusing into your chosen piece of jewelry

Once satisfied take out your jewelry and leave it somewhere in the sunlight or windowsill to dry (you may place it on a towel or paper towel and to dab it so its not soaked).

Collect it the next morning and wear it to give you the energy of the sun.

Keep Me Warm Blanket Enchantment

A spell to enchant a blanket to keep you warmer at night.

You Will Need:

A blanket

A sunny window to work in or outside Space

A sunny day

Steps:

Take your blanket outside or to the sunny window with you, if needed fold it up so it doesn’t lay or drag on the ground. If you can kneel or sit before the window/the sun.

With your blanket sitting atop both of your hands, resting on your palms hold it up towards the light of the sun

“I store the warm of the sun, the heat of the rays, into the fibers that beneath I lay”

Say this confidently 3 times, while saying that focus on your intent to bring yourself warmth and more so the energy, bright yellow and orange like a warm flame, from the sun being absorbed into your blanket. In your mind visualize it glowing radiantly with heat and warmth.

Once satisfied bring the blanket close to your chest and say “Keep me warm” and bow your head or body towards the sun before rising.

For an extra boost leave your blanket n the sun for 30 minutes, but not too long. Sometimes sunlight can bleach certain fabrics and dyes. 

An easy spell to lift your spirits; best performed in the morning.

You Will Need:

☀ A Sunrise or morning sunlight ☀ Open space

Steps:

☀ Go outside into the morning sunlight and if you can face the rising sun.

☀ Feel the warmth of it on your skin and like golden waves of energy running across the land feel it pass through you. Close you eyes and stretch you arms upwards towards the sky, stand on your toes if you can. Feel your own energy grow and stretch out, absorbing all of the fresh crisp energy of the sun.

☀ Focus on your intent to absorb the golden yellow energy to bring you happiness and a good start to your day. Take deep breaths and relax your arms for a few beats before stretching them upwards again.

☀ Repeat this process focusing on your intent and feeling the sun’s bright energy entering you until you feel refreshed and ready to start your day.

A spell to bring you sunny weather disperse any rain you may not want.

You Will Need:

☼ Sunstone ☼ Gold or Yellow Candle ☼ Fire safe bowl ☼ Dried Orange Peel ☼ Piece of Paper ☼ Orange or Yellow Marker

Note: This spell involves burning so should be used with caution. Please practice proper fire safety.

Steps:

☼ Light your candle and keep it to your right

☼ Place your orange peel into the fire safe bowl, make sure it doesn’t reach near the edges.

☼ Place your sunstone near the bowl

☼ On your paper draw a sun using your marker. “Sunny Day, Sunny Day, I want you to come and stay.” Repeat this as many times as you need as you draw the sun.

☼ Take your piece of paper and light it on fire via your candle and place it into your bowl. Do be careful with this step and with the resulting fire in the bowl.

☼ At a safe distance hover your hands over the bowl and continue your chant as you let it burn. Imagine the fire in the bowl is the sun breaking through the clouds and bringing bright, warm light.

☼ Once fire is out (whether all of peel was burned or not) place your sunstone into the ashes. Make sure the fire is completely out and there are no embers left.
