#cottage witch

Ivy grows up the outer walls in long, creeping vines, to protect for passers-by with wicked intentions. The hydrangeas grow blue and line the windows of this solitary abode. Dried lavender hangs down from the ceiling in bunches tied with black ribbon. The scent of cinnamon and cloves, mixed with a heady amber oil fills the air. Crystals find themselves tucked in corners and displayed on shelves. Curios of bones and crafts and oddities fascinate welcomed guests. A witch lives here, the rumors say. But what they don’t speak to is the nature of this being. A kind witch lives here, whose hair smells of amber, lavender, and lilac. Any trespasser is met with a gentle “hello” in the soft tone of one who is happy to see them. Tea and coffee are brewed in the sunlight and given as offerings to wanderers in exchange for a tale. A warm bed is always available, alongside hot soup and fresh bread for those who are brave enough to visit the witch’s hut.
