Happy #StarTrekDay. I forgot to prepare anything special, and I donât really have the time to, so hereâs a bunch I made previously but decided not to post for varying reasons. Including ones for Discovery & Picard (which I normally wouldnât do as they donât have episode title cards, so itâs less fun to pretend I have unaired title cards*), Lower Decks (which I normally wouldnât do, since its already a self-aware comedy so making joke title cards isnât as comically juxtaposing) and the still-upcoming Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Star Trek: Prodigy. Looking forward to the panels and trailers today! (Actually, Iâm in the UK, so wonât be able to see any of those until tomorrow, but never mind!)

Season 1: Upon learning that several âHew-Monâ annual festivities are coming up, Quark tries to cash in on them, but, due to some rushed research, winds up producing an item that nobody seems to want; a pine tree, topped with a menorah and decorated with glittery letters that spell âMerry - New - Kwanzaaâ, Quark desperately looks in vain for a buyer.
Meanwhile, Gul Dukat boards the station in the hopes of âencouragingâ the Bajoran population to celebrate a Cardassian festive tradition.
The day is saved when Rom rearranges the letters on the tree to say âWary man - warn Zekâ, tricking Dukat into thinking the Grand Nagus may be coming to swindle the Bajorans harder than he could ever hope to, prompting him to leave. Odo confiscates the remaining hyphen and âEâ from the tree before Quark can make any money off it.
The episode was cancelled because everyone knew there was no way Dukat would be scared off by the prospect of a Ferengi coming to the station, even if it was the Grand Nagus.
