So workers of the world, an idea/question:
Do we think Keevan could have potentially been a test subject for section 31's regenisis disruption compound?
Like he's got a lot of what they would have wanted save for his role (which honestly could still be an advantage because it'd be a red herring away from the more science specialized targets); Prisoner of war, going to be killed, already exhibiting what the Dominion might see as "faulty" traits so further issues wouldn't immediately be a red flag.
It kinda explains why the powers that be might have been a little quicker than one might expect to turn over a decently important prisoner, and might even explain the issues Nog ran into with the neurostumulators after they'd been active for a bit (though that could have been faulty/misaligned tech)
I would think the Dominion probably collected his autopilot self at some point after the cost was clear (I'll admit it'd be funnier if they didn't, but speaking realistically that is still a resource even if they were going to kill that version of him) so theoretically within the Omelas timeline there's a version of Keevan who's in a similar state to Aion's (assuming they kept him alive to examine, which is admittedly a bit of an uncertainty given as again he was already showing some faulty signs, but sometimes these things are permitted for thr sake of the fans).
(I should note: Keevan and Aion are not the same Vorta, Aion's prior self [real name unknown/undisclosed], was a very important geneticist who would have been essential to combating the morphogenic virus.)
Also Keevan would not be an Omelas crewmember, though he and Aion might know one another slightly from post research facility recovery.
So anyway: what do y'all think? Blank slate Keevan? Yes? No? Yes but he died again?
