These are all things that will be included in my upcoming OC/Canon Starfield fic, and also just things I’ve thought of based off things/info we find in the game. Spoilers ahead if you haven’t gotten all the way through the main game.

- A Starborn’s eyes will glow when using their powers.

- The Unity has a small chance of completely erasing you from existence. It also has a chance of breaking you mentally at different degrees. It wasn’t made with humanity in mind, so it’s bound to have side effects.

- In most cases, the Unity changes something physical (albeit it’s something small) about a person on their first pass, ex. eye color. This implicates that the Unity is capable- for whatever reason- of changing a person at the cellular level.

- Some Starborn are loners, like the Hunter. Some of them however have formed their own secretive faction, mostly around the Emissary.

- Continuous interaction with the Artifacts, the Temples, and the Unity can pretty much stop a Starborn’s aging. However, choosing to no longer interact with any of them will make them continue to age until they die.

- All Starborn can only use powers for an extended period of time until their body forces a ‘cooldown period’. If a Starborn keeps pushing themselves too hard, they can die. At the same time, if a Starborn doesn’t use their powers enough, they can weaken, as their powers are integrated into their physiology.

- The Unity contains all universes/possibilities, but under current circumstances a Starborn can only access a ‘strand’ of specific ones from their original universe.

- A Starborn can go backwards in time, but it’s very rare. Most can only go forwards.

- The Artifacts used to all converge together for something. Possibly something bigger than the Unity, as even when the Armillary is complete there are gaps. The Creators were trying to do…something.

He calls his identity as the Hunter the evil spirit which isn’t surprising, the phrasing isn’t either since he goes on to become a priest. The interesting part for me was that in the writings the Pilgrim says,

“My weakness is my inability to let alone. I want them to understand. So I try, gently as I might, to nudge their minds along the right path.” Something the Hunter also does.

“The trouble is that I genuinely care for these people. It would be so much easier if I didn’t.” Hmmmm.

“If I instead embraced the twinges of compassion I feel in my heart, and care for the people who seem to gather about me whenever I try to work.”

✨He’s definitely using his powers on you. Won’t stay still? He can make you without ever touching you. Like being deprived of oxygen? Yep.

✨ This man has been around a looooooooong time, he can tell when someone is interested in him so if you think you’re hiding your crush well, you’re not.

✨He’s definitely teasing you about your “little crush” on him for the next 3-5 business universes. Good luck.

✨Seriously though, he’s flattered that you have feelings for him especially after everything he’s done. (Sorry not sorry about your alt selves/Friends)

✨It will take awhile before he comes to terms with his own feelings towards you so be patient. He’s brought nothing but death and destruction to everyone around him (including you)

✨‘Dating’ and ‘Eternal Commitment’ are the same thing in this relationship because the only way out is death. You both know far too much, and well…you know what happens to Aquilus for sharing secrets.

✨The Emissary hates you both. They hate you even more when they catch on to your relationship. You were bad enough apart why did menace 1 and menace 2 need to hook up??

✨I hope you don’t expect PDA because this man is not holding your hand, kissing, hugging etc.. in public. Don’t ask. He has a reputation to uphold.

✨The most affection he’s showing you around others is standing close by. Think his chest to your back. Your hand resting on his thigh when you lean back into him. Please get a room you’re making the Emissary uncomfortable during the ceasefire meeting..

✨Despite his aversion to PDA he still makes it very obvious you’re together. Often glaring at anyone that comes up to you or calling you “his” when he praises you during fights with other Starborn.

✨ He’s not jealous per se but what’s his is his. If he does all that for some space rocks imagine what he will do for you.

✨Forehead kisses, kissing your hands, a passing cheek kiss. He loves kissing you, and being kissed by you.

✨Despite how volatile he can be, he is gentle with you. Unless you do something stupid which he will mock you for. If you betray him well…good luck.

✨Dates include- philosophical debates while watching sunsets/sunrises on various planets, killing people and taking reclaiming artifacts, dinner while you watch the stars out of the Scorpius’s windows.

✨obviously he’s older, much older. Starborn don’t age anyway so as long as you’re a consenting adult then it doesn’t really matter.

✨He likes to slow dance, and you can’t convince me he doesn’t.

✨ He’s observant so whether his helmet is on or off you’ll feel his eyes following you.

✨You have tons of inside jokes

✨Calls you “my dear” when you’re alone together, but sticks to your title or name otherwise.

✨He’s pushing you to be the strongest version of yourself always.

✨Loves listening to you talk, rant, or laugh at his jokes or your own.

✨Again, he’s been around a loooooong time so he takes every opportunity to teach you new things or tell you stories. Quality time is his love language.

✨Lets you pilot the Scorpius

✨He doesn’t say “i love you” he says- “you are my eternity” or “I adore you” or “I’m yours in every life”

✨He lets you boss him around. Don’t let that scoff fool you, he’s smirking under that helmet.

✨ You compete during fights, sometimes even switching weapons to add to the challenge.

✨After years of being together he will let his guard down with you completely. He trusts you (don’t make him regret it) He will tell you about his life on Earth, his regrets, along with other personal things.

✨ If you die he becomes more violent until he flat out dissociates from it. Your alt variants keep opening the wound, but he makes sure the strong ones make it to Unity as a way to honor you.

✨If you continue jumping from universe to universe he will look for you. Always. When you’re reunited it’s a mix of excitement and relief. You pick back up like no time has passed.

✨If you (mainly him) decide to settle in one universe then that’s that. He’s giving you everything he has. You want a home? Ok. Travel the stars forever? Ok. Marriage? Your souls are already entangled but Ok.

This fits a Starborn x Hunter (Starfield) dynamic so well.

“I love you, I hate you, I love you, I hate you” can explain the difficulty each may have coming to terms with their feelings considering their encounters throughout the multiverse with different variants.

“You know what they say stay close to your dearest friends but also even closer to your adversaries” this one is pretty self explanatory if you side with him despite his nature.
