Kamala Khan is discussing with Prodigy and Sophie Cuckoo about how she could face her family and relatives regarding on her mutant secret (even though she is an inhuman-mutant hybrid). Then, they are interrupted by Laura Kinney who comes in and tells them that Kiden Nixon has been kidnapped by Mojo. The young mutants consisting of Laura Kinney, Kamala Khan, Sophie Cuckoo, Prodigy, Anole and Julian Keller move to the city where they see the place covered with overgrown Krakoan weeds. While Kamala and the others debate what they can do, Prodigy calls up his allies for help in spreading their word to any mutants. Just as Kamala's group could storm into Mojo's stronghold, the optic blast interrupts them. The optic blast came not from Cyclops, but from Synch who turns up to help them in battling Mojo.

As they reach into the heart of Mojo's stronghold, the young mutants find not only Mojo has turned into the core, there are also trapped mutants and humans in the overgrown Krakoan weeds. Also, Local the mutant (who is Mojo's lackey) had his body forcibly grown with Krakoan weeds and used as a battery. As the young mutants cut down the weeds, Sophie Cuckoo telepathically rallies the other mutants to resist Mojo's influence. Laura and the others spend their time cutting down the Krakoan weeds until the former (Laura Kinney) manages to reach Kiden Nixon. Since Kiden is freed, the Krakoan Weed and Mojo's influence breaks apart, saving the city and everyone. However, even though the city is safe, Local is missing. Just before Sophie Cuckoo and Kamala Khan could search for Local, they are interrupted by Bilal who shows up to blame Kamala and the mutants for all this mess. Kamala Khan had enough of her cousin's bullshit so she tells him off and admits to her cousin that she is Kamala Khan even if she's an inhuman-mutant hybrid, she is still Kamala. Bilal is shocked and stares for a moment until he leaves in a huff and warns his cousin that she should not tell her parents about her secret identity and as a inhuman-mutant hybrid or else she would break their hearts.
