Imagine how much must be going through Tenna's mind at that point. Spamton promised he'd stay, only to disappear again without a word. Tenna is probably convinced he's gone for good this time; why did he leave? Was it something he did? Did he put too much pressure on Spamton?

And then, right as he's ready to give up and accept that his lover is gone for good, Spamton limps back into town. Exhausted, covered in blood, barely conscious... Maybe his injuries aren't severe but with so much blood there's no way Tenna wasn't convinced Spamton was moments from death.

Fast forward to later that day. Spamton has been patched up by the town doctor and seems to be back to his usual self. But he refuses to talk about what happened and where he went, leaving Tenna both frustrated and terrified: were the injuries the result of an accident? Or did someone hurt him deliberately? And what if that person tries to come back and finish the job?

Why doesn't Spamton just trust him? What is he doing wrong? They had come so far since Spamton first came to town, and now? It's almost like all that progress has been reset.

Something something there are small braids in Allogar's hair from the family he left to be a knight, Azune has his hair always braided, and mayhaps hero and Shadia having small braid in their hair.... Hal making a small braid hidden in his hair.... do you see the vision????? Hell even if they have more textured hair like Taisha does.... do you think that Azune WOULDN'T learn textured hair care in that home? Esp. if he was given like excuses to stay with babysitting he would consider it "part of his duty" but like it's a connection man it's a way to prove that person trusts and can trust you.... that you can take time and sit with them for something that everyone around will look at on the street....
