It's a multi-stage rye sourdough. It's quite possibly my prettiest one to date. I have shown it to every person I know. Now I am showing it to you.
In Iceland, people still bake rye bread by burying the dough in hot black sand near geothermal springs. The earth slowly cooks it for about 24 hours, and when they dig it up, the loaf comes out warm, sweet, and dense.
