I tried to do some dappled lighting and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Uli had found that she could make peace with many things. It often took her some time, but once she'd settled into the reality of it, she'd try to find a way to reframe it into something positive. Her husband's work in the resistance had terrified her initially, and she still worried, but she knew he was out there doing amazing things, and with such work surely he had the light spirits' protection. He always came home safe. She also knew that Link, despite all the challenges they'd had when he'd first arrived, was a blessing, and while they lost weeks of sleep and cried tears of frustration together, he was the best thing that had happened to her.
She also knew that she could learn to live with the grief of never having a child of her own. She and Rusl hadn't been able to conceive in the years they'd been married, and Link's arrival had seemed like a gift from the goddesses because of it. But after years of caring for her beloved child, Uli found that she had to revisit one of the things she'd made peace with.
