Here's some more Zelda handouts I made for giving cosplayers at cons!

These include 3 of my favorite Zelda characters, and three additional designs I printed multiple of for any Zelda cosplayer I might find!

So, I think it’s interesting that Linebeck’s history before the events of Phantom Hourglass is a complete mystery.

So, spoiler warning for those who haven’t played Phantom Hourglass, the ending of the game proves that Linebeck is actually not from the world of the Ocean King, but rather the same world Link and Tetra come from! He is sent back into the world with Link and Tetra.

I’m going to get into what we know about him other than that. So, we know he is a captain of his own steamship, the S.S. Linebeck. We also know that, especially at the beginning of the game, he doesn’t really like the thrill and danger that comes with adventure. He just likes treasure. Also, he can’t swim! Which is odd considering that he had to have lived near islands if he comes from the WindWaker universe.

I do want to know, how did Linebeck end up in the world of the Ocean King? The only people we know who went through this supposed portal were Link, who was carried by the ocean, and Tetra who was trapped on the Ghost Ship. Tetras pirates didn’t go through this portal, which makes sense as they didn’t move the ship in the “10 minutes” Link and Tetra were gone. I want to assume he heard about the Ghost Ship from someone, tracked it down, end ended up in the world of the Ocean King without even knowing he did.

Well, what about before the events of the game? The only bit of info we get about his past is through his relationship with Jolene. He mentions during your first encounter with Jolene that they were kids, meaning possible childhood friends? Depends on what he means by “kids” here. Either way he DOES have a seemingly long history with Jolene. Unfortunately, it’s the only glimpse we have of his past.
