Gün boyu attığım yumrukların haddi hesabı yokken el boğumlarımdaki morluklara kanlar ekleniyordu. Bedenim dahi delicesine titrediğini fark etmediğim ve yine hastanede bitecek bir sinir krizi ortasında bana sesleniyordun. Zarar vereceğim korkusu içime yayılsa dahi mantıklı düşünemeyecek kadar büyük bir krizdeyken üzerine doğru elime geçen herhangi bir şeyi fırlattım sonrasında fark edecektim önce elimde paramparça ettiğimi. Bir saatin sonuna doğru nefes alamayacak durumdayken kalbim artık zorlanıyordu ve görüşüm bulunıklaşırken suretindeki tatminliğe eşelenmiş endişeye dahi damarlarımda akan krizi etkilemiyordu.
O gece hastanede bulanık bir görüşle açtım gözlerimi. Yoktun. Zaten sadece zihnimde varlığın sürürken etkilenmedim yokluğundan. Dışarıda endişeyle birilerine haber veren hayatımdaki insanlar dışında yine bilindik o kokunun içinde gözlerimi kapattığımda zihnimden tüylerimi diken diken yapacak o cümleleri fısıldadın "Beni şekillediriyorsun oysa ben öfkenin yapabileceklerini bilen tek kişiyim. Ben o öfkede yoğrulmuş, sinirinde kızarmış o çocukluğum."
