riddle: “you’re mumbling.” his eyebrows furrow.

* “no! i mean! i was just thinking how you look like your name.”

riddle: “… what is that supposed to mean?”

* “that your name is pretty and it suits you!”

riddle: “oh. thank you.”

* “haha… if i had a surname like rosehearts, i think i’d feel pretty proud of it. it’s so poetic sounding. riddle… rosehearts. it rolls off the tongue so nicely! riddle rosehearts, riddle rosehearts, riddle…”

riddle: “can you do this when i’m not within earshot? i’m already getting worn out from hearing my own name…”

* “hehe, sorry…”

riddle: “ahem. your name has its own charm as well, you know.”

* “really? you think so?”

riddle: “yes. not just any name is capable of making people smile by mere mention.”

* “now you’re just being sweet for no reason. maybe i should call you riddle sweethearts from now on.”

Ambling down the contrived, capacious hallways retained inside Heartslabyul, Riddle and Yuu didn't vocalize a single articulation despite the plethora of thoughts gyrating in their minds. They were both currently on their way to the gardens to complete another obstinate rule, right after having just completed one, but neither of them felt a complaint cluster on the edge of their lips.

However, just as they turned a sharp corner, another resident came scuttling through and promptly collided against Riddle whom then was pushed against Yuu—and the entity who bumped into them only bellowed an apology before continuing on their way.

Feeling his palms rest against the smooth surface of the wall, Riddle pried open his eyes to descry Yuu abashedly avoiding eye-contact with him as she converged her hands together in front of her.

Seizing the opportunity to scrutinize the situation, Riddle realized he had Yuu ensnared between his arms with his chest nearly pressing against hers while her back was against the wall.

Yuu's complexion was florid, the warmth emanating from her cheeks causing him to feel dizzy, and he felt his own heart palpitate before he swiftly removed himself from her. "Sorry⋯" Riddle apologized, his voice soft and with a recherche quiver, "Are you all right?"

Nodding her head softly, Yuu heaved a wispy sigh. "I'm fine⋯"

She only wishes they could've stayed like that a little longer.
