That blog event idea sounds really fun and i hope you end up doing it, whatever you choose, Raven! but kind of a silly question just in case you do end up going through with it: How should we format our ask if it requires deets about or ocs? Like should we send a short paragraph in advanced with some stuff about our ocs related to our main event ask, or would the ask still be the one thing with some more context for you to understand our characters? I feel like wording by this weirdly but i hope u get what i mean 😅

Hello and thank you for the interest! I’m still thinking about how I’d actually organize the blog event and its rules, so it’s all up in the air right now.
It’s difficult to find a work-around for OCs because I have to cap the yapping. People can get very passionate and will ramble about their OC for several paragraphs or tell me their OC’s backstory beginning from birth when it isn’t relevant to the interaction, and I’m not trying to read a new thesis every time I open my inbox. At the same time, not everyone is skilled at conveying sufficient OC lore via only a short single ask. People are not good at highlighting only the necessary information.
Maybe I’ll just ask for the basics…?Like if your OC is a Yuu (isekai’d from another world, magicless, lives in Ramshackle with Grim) or non-Yuu, their pronouns, and relevant character relationships (including with Miss Raven). I think I should be able to grasp things like the OC’s personality through an ask’s writing. Things like backstory and physical appearance don’t feel like they’d be as important in the context of an advice column submission.
Hmm… I’m not totally sure yet. If you have any ideas for a solution or a comfortable middle ground, please let me know! ^^
