I gave them more brothers and have close up images of them all so I give you: Updated Bhaalbards, brothers who travel together as a band and are totally not responsible for the sudden uptick in violent deaths in the area.
Here they are, the brothers of all time!
Lys'i'rith, Githyanki violin player, slutty gremlin of a man. One of only two survivors of his creche, Lys left after the destruction (and the whole son of a god discovery) and found brothers he convinced to join him. He's as edgy as he looks and likes hats!
Fluttershy, Dragonborn drummer, personality type: See his namesake. Loves animals. Once shut himself away in a cottage to prevent himself hurting anyone, only to be convinced out by the strange gith on the doorstep. In another life, he would have been a druid.
Helvius, drow flautist, originally left the Underdark to be with his hot dragonborn wife (not pictured). Genuinely a nice, friendly and helpful dude. Looks terrifying when he smiles. Most likely to be the voice of reason.
Delphinus, half drow lute player, would have been a barber if he hadn't joined Lys'i'rith's emo band, very much a follower, not a leader, and is drawn to shiny things like a magpie. Has a whole collection of random bits of trash that happen to be kind of shiny. Will brush and style his brothers' hair if they'll let him.
Alinur, halfling lyre player, best cook of the brothers. Acts like the eldest, tries to give advice and take a leading role, and knows 87 different ways to kill a man with a vegetable peeler. Always hums when he's cooking. Plays pranks on his brothers but especially Delphinus.
Antonello, elf harpist, raised in wealth, used to be gifted real hearts by a cultist until he removed the cultist's heart, can't stand dirt or germs (full blown phobia). If he kills, he does it in the least messy way he can because ew mess. Prissy. Makes others carry him over mud or marsh. The brothers act annoyed by him, but they still do everything they can to make the camping life easier on him with his phobias.
Hartley, human ocarina player, spent unknown amount of time locked in a dungeon as a punishment for using his music to bring a swarm of plague rats to his home town. Kind of seen as the baby of the family by the others. Been locked in the dark long enough that seeing the outside world, the sun and the rats again fills him with awe and excitement. Also made the ocarina himself out of bone.
Halfdan, dwarf tubular bells player, stinky man who gets drunk and starts fist fights and can't sleep without his teddy bear. Won't stand for bullshit. Lads, we gotta stop doing dumb shit for five seconds, aight? Bonds especially well with Hartley over a shared interest in carving, but does not appreciate the rats.
Reko, gnome gusli player, former gang member also known as The Skunk, specialises in poisons and toxins. Sneaky, cunning, sharp witted and cruel. Helps Alinur with pranks and jokes that everyone should watch their backs around him. None of them are intimidated.
Sturla, half orc bagpipes player, does cross stitching as a hobby, doesn't know how to respond when someone shares anything emotional with him, seems incapable of standing up straight, and tends to zone out if you fail to capture his attention.
And last but not least, Shiori, tiefling accordionist. Shiori is gay, feral and aggressive, struggles to trust others, and has a huge hoard of stolen goods from merchants he killed (he was abandoned on a roadside as a child and started raiding merchants to gain survival supplies, this is also how he got his accordion). Can absolutely not be trusted in society. Will bite completely unprompted.
And that's them. Wish them luck trying to form a cohesive band with that instrument selection.
