IM NOT DONE YET I WAS SUPPOSE TO REBLOG N EXPLAIN MY IDEAS BEFORE U SEE IT BUT I GOT BUSY SO LEMME JUST BRAINROT HOW MUCH I PUT INTO THIS PIECE CUZ I WAS SO INTO ALEX'S LORE AND HIS DYNAMIC WITH IDIA-

Since no one is gonna dissect my art LEMME FEED YALL ITS PARTS AND INSIDES-
(Soz i screenshotted pinterest cuz I was lazy and rushing on this piece. Had to juggle jobs and assignments so it was a gosh darn miracle i even finished this ><)
Color schemes mainly for Alex since it has to be a red, black white gothic theme ๐
I wanted it a lil vibrant to go with the more dull/dark background so the inner heart and overall some of the colors were taken from this ๐
The red spider lily represents death or rebirth iirc which is what Alex essentially is considering his lore. PLUS IN DEMON SLAYER LORE: Its to represent something tragic or dramatic death or such WHICH IS WHY I PUT IT UNDER ALEX AND IDIA cuz the idea is that Alex is kinda- dragging Idia to the afterlife with him. Also also SPIDER lily!!!! GUESS WHOSE ENTANGLED IN HIS WEB????
(Pulling the god of death to death. Ironic especially Hades' in Disney Hercules story LMAO)
Alex's clothes vs Idia's clothes. If you notice I swapped the brooch/necktie designs cuz I find Idia having laces respresents the more "innocent" or "unsuspecting" in a way while Alex has a bow to represent how "tied" or very sure he is with Idia and how much he wants to be with him.
The framing designs inspo/refs.
Extra: i originally wanted to paint it in this style. This was actually the main inspiration for the piece which has the same artstyle i can do with my Wonderland Au Riddle x Yoko. However that shit took me a week to finish and I started the piece arnd Feb 4th ngl so I didnt have much time ๐ญ
A small detail thats pretty hard to see but if you notice, Alex's hand is wrapped around Idia's shoulders and INTO his flaming hair. Now idk if Twst ever explicitly said if Idia's hair is actually flammable- but this is an imagining so go wif it >:3 his hand has been burnt to a skeleton like so you can see his boney fingers around idia's neck there. (Had to look up sans' the skeleton ref AAAA- )
I was imagining Alex basically caressing Idia's hair, not caring how much it burns him (pls confirm with me Lex can Alex actually feel pain in his not-really-him-possessed body?) And half of his clothes getting burnt in the process by getting to close to the literal fire especially with how blantantly flamable and lacey his clothes are. (Inspired/ref to the whole Icarus tale where he flew too close to the sun in other words- Idia is his sun. His blazing star โก aksjqjdbs)
Thank youuuuuuu for caring and thinking sm to draw them it's so dedicated imma burn myself /pos TT and as you asked i confirm Alex CAN NOT feel anything with his new body - physical pain/touch, tasting, smelling,etc. he can only sense magic cuz he's a soul of a mage, hear and talk.
It's a very great detail that you choose to make Alex the yandere in this cuz it's something not everyone noticed how Alex and Idia are MUTUALLY crazy for eachother in my build >< thank youuuuu again
