Do i like riddler as a character? Yes. Do i like him more because he reminds me of my boyfriend? Also yes.

just a quick thing about my dearest e.nygma as someone who has done ample academic research on incel culture… (pursuing PsyD) I don’t think Edward is an incel in the traditional definition of the word, but he undeniably falls within the manosphere. His behavior towards women is unhealthy, it’s characterized by obsession, entitlement, and objectification. (Partially due to his obvious and glaring NPD diagnosis from me… hi… it’s me…) And again, not objectification in the traditional sense. He believes he deserves and has a right towards women’s attention if he expresses interest, or puts enough effort into courting. The best way I can describe it, or categorize it, is by comparing it to nice guy culture. He is polite to women, but in an infantilizing, paternalistic way. (The best way I can describe paternalistic, in legal terms, is infantilizing, or treating you like you are helpless. This is especially used to refer to the differential treatment of women.) He is the guy tipping his fedora and calling people m’lady. He is the plague on the Discord server. It’s essentially benevolent sexism. I think it’s wrong for people to characterize him as an incel— he’s not sitting in his car calling for death to all foids. But he is on those Reddit boards whining and crying about how girls don’t give him the time of day because he’s just “too nice.”
