Which i find hilarious because religion is an organized system of beliefs, values, and practices. I find that aligns heavily with autistic people. Especially since for some of us, all we desire is to understand the world around us, and religion/spirituality is one of the many ways to do that. Religion doesn’t have to be scary. It’s been used by humans over centuries to cope with our surroundings.

Also off topic/ on topic, there are way more religions than just the abrahamic ones. I find the idea of dismissing all religion very disheartening when there are millions of people just trying to learn and gain knowledge about what might be in the beyond.

Like a large majority of Christians are amazing and sweet, but it’s ALWAYS a Christian pushing religion on non-consenting people (I’ve had a muslim man push religion on me once but, literally once)

He's made many videos criticising the systems that oppress people and stifle progress in the middle east.

He also made philosophical video essays pondering morality without needing religion as basis for it.

Needless to say the religious authorities of Egypt and the larger Egyptian public did not approve of what he had to say.

For many years Sherif has been the target many legal campaigns to get him imprisoned for "Attacking fundamental principles of society" often times succeeding.

Shrif has spent many years in house arrest.

But several months ago, he was literally kidnapped, andto this day authorities refuse to confirm what happened to him or where he is being held.
