"Howl's Moving Castle" by Diana Wynne Jones
In which a witch bewitched the hatter's daughter—and then some....
Sophie lived in the town of Market Chipping, which was in Ingary, a land in which anything could happen, and often did—especially when the Witch of the Waste got her dander up. Which was often. As her younger sisters set out to seek their fortunes, Sophie stayed in her father's hat shop. Which proved most unadventurous, until the Witch of the Waste came in to buy a bonnet, but was not pleased. Which is why she turned Sophie into an old lady. Which was spiteful witchery. Now Sophie must seek her own fortune. Which means striking a bargain with the lecherous Wizard Howl. Which means entering his ever-moving castle, taming a blue fire-demon, and meeting the Witch of the Waste head-on. Which was more than Sophie bargained for....

Q: What's the longest reading slump you've ever had? As a mood reader, I experience slumps fairly regularly. I'm in one right now. I finished The Traitor Queen two weeks ago and have had no idea what I want to read since. I've started three or four different books because I can't settle. Two weeks isn't my longest slump though. No, that honour goes to the year long reading slump of 2010. I still read... kind of. I probably flicked through more books than I read. And then there was 2018. I was doing a veterinary internship then and yeah.... not a lot of time reading. That year was the first (and only) year I didn't meet my Goodreads goal. //CHALLENGES// #BDMAR22 - Prospective TBR #adarkershadeofarc22 - TBR #BookishBellesMar22 - Man With A Plan: TBR #MyFandomObsessionsMar22 - The Final Empire: #tbr //HASHTAGS// #ToBeRead #bookwormproblems #bookworm #readerproblems #booksta #bookstagrammer #bookaddict #booklover #tbrpile #booknerdigans https://www.instagram.com/p/CamdTOCv6V_/?utm_medium=tumblr
Sometimes I feel bad about putting books on dnf shelf, when i think of all the hours author spent slouched over computer screen and/or notebook, pouring out their heart and soul for us, only for one spoilt brat over here to dismiss their work as utter waste. Rating books and reviewing them, is least I can do to show author (however anonymous and unknown i am) that their work is paying off and that there is response from universe to their words. Isn’t that what we all want? For someone to hear us?
I like to think of dnf shelf more as ‘it’s not you, it’s me, maybe just not right time, but there will come a day for us.’
You know that moment when you're reading right before bed and you finish the book? And you have the sequel sitting on your nightstand, ready to be read? And you're like, "I'll start you tomorrow. It's already 2am." But you open it anyway and start reading? And then you go to sleep at 3 in the morning...

Northanger Abbey - Jane Austen.
Recently started to read this and I’m getting a serious dislike for John Thorpe!
I made a thing 😂
