A tasty burger cooked on a griddle with a DijOli sauce that gives it a tangy kick. Great for a quick and filling meal.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 burger buns. 4 slices of cheddar cheese. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 2 tbsp Dijon mustard. 1 tbsp olive oil. 1/2 onion, thinly sliced. 1 tomato, sliced. 4 lettuce leaves. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Warm up the pan or griddle over medium-high heat. Form the ground beef into 4 equal pieces and shape them into burger patties. Add pepper and salt. Put the burger patties on the hot griddle and cook for four to five minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if you like them more done. Add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty in the last minute of cooking. Grill the burger buns until they are just barely golden while the burgers are cooking. To make the DijOli sauce, mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard in a small bowl. Take the patties off the griddle and give them a minute to rest. Spread the DijOli sauce on the bottom half of each bun before putting the burgers together. Put a lettuce leaf, a burger patty with melted cheese, tomato, sliced onion, and the top half of the bun on top. Feel free to serve the GYOB Griddle Burger with DijOli hot and enjoy!
