This article argues that the government should impose a curfew on all men to protect women. Besides violating basic human rights, it also sounds like homoandrophobia, aceandrophobia and androclassism because it ignores the existence of gay men, asexual men and homeless men.
This is anti-masculinity, transphobia, exorsexism, varsexism, homoandrophobia, andro-amatonormativity, and androclassism.
So much going on here. First of all, this is gender essentialist as fuck, as it indicates that men are inherently predatory. If men weren't allowed out at night, you know what would happen? We'd see a statistical rise in crimes from women, because their crimes are underreported right now, and it would bring attention to it. A curfew wouldn't truly prevent crime in men either, criminal men would sneak out, or find ways to commit crimes from inside the home.
Second of all, what about TGD (trans & gender diverse) people? They aren't considered in the slightest here. What counts as a "man" in these equations? Do trans women and enben socially imposed as male count "as men"? Do trans men and enben socially imposed as female count "as women"? What about menwomen and boygirls? How do you decide who does and doesn't have this curfew? Appearance, identity, anatomy, all of the above?
Third of all, what about men who have sleep disorders that lead them to be awake at night? What jobs would they get, if they're not allowed to do night shifts? Would they be compensated? What about disabled women who have men as caregivers, would those men be an exception?
Fourthly, how late would this curfew be? What about men who get stuck in traffic on their way home, for example? What about men who have delivery jobs or are otherwise traveling, would they be allowed to drive at night, or do they have to stop at a hotel, or sleep in their car? This curfew would uproot millions of people from their jobs.
And finally, as you said, what about homeless men? Would this encourage people to end homelessness? No, it would just lead the government to arrest all homeless men.
There's literally nothing positive that could come from this.
