Something ive always been annoyed about is the term and concept of Autogynephilia or "AGP". The idea that cis men roleplaying as women during sex is anywhere near the same as feeling that you should have been born a woman is so bizarre and dense. It both paints trans women as sexual deviants who are only expressing their gender because it arouses them, AND shames trans women who discovered themselves through sex or kink, or who's gender identity ended up shaped by their sexuality because the brain likes to overlap sex gender and sexuality. The latter is the part that really bothers me because ive seen it parroted in queer spaces. "Oh she only had bottom surgery because she wanted to have sex while having a vagina" have you considered that she realized she wanted bottom surgery BECAUSE sex felt wrong or off for her? Why should she be shamed because she discovered herself in a way that YOU find distasteful? Not to mention if a cis man got SURGERY that completely changed his sex organ because he wanted to experience sex while having a vagina... Hes not entirely cis or gender conforming and ALSO doesn't deserve to be shamed for his body modification.
New bra…
Are we all aware that there are methodological flaws in Ray Blanchard's autogybephilia(AGP) research and that someone has written on pubpeer about those flaws? I haven't seen those that believe in Blanchard's typology confront these problems in the evidence base of agp. In my opinion they haven't because it demonstrates the pseudo-scientific nature of agp and they have no way to cope about it being bad research.
