Of all the standard, outdoor, non-spinning Wild Mouse coasters I've ridden, this one is easily the best. Arrow is not a company you usually associate with Wild Mouse coasters, but they did build three of them a year or two before they went bankrupt, and the one here at CGA is the only one I've gotten the chance to get to thus far.
Like the other Wild Mouse coasters we've covered through this week, this one has the same strong laterals on the turns, but where this one really shines is in the small drops and hills in the second half of the ride. You get significantly stronger airtime on these compared to any other Wild Mouse I've done. It's really kind of surprising for a ride of this model and size.
Despite this being an Arrow coaster, I don't remember it being rough at all. That's probably thanks to the fact that this was one of Arrow's later rides, so it was designed and build more precisely, similar to other later Arrows like Tennessee Tornado at Dollywood.
Given how California's Great America is on borrowed time since the land under the park got sold a few years ago, the future is uncertain for all of its rides, including Psycho Mouse. I really hope that since Psycho Mouse is small and (as far as I'm aware) isn't a maintenance headache, it might have a shot at being relocated somewhere. But since it's on the older side and with Arrow being out of business for over 25 years at this point, I'm not sure how likely that is. If you have the opportunity to get out to CGA, be sure to ride this rare model while you still can.
