#pre-term labor

My sister is in the hospital right now, she is 32 weeks pregnant and is in labor with contractions 3 minutes apart.  This is her third child and her first was normal gestational period, her second was 35-weeks and so far has some delays, and now this one is trying to come way too soon.  She has been on limited activity (but not bed rest) for a few weeks now because her doctor was afraid she would go into labor early, based on her previous history, but didn’t think it would be this soon.  PLEASE PLEASE pray and hope and think of her, that they can stop her labor somehow, and if not, that her little one does okay.  I’m so scared.  Thank you for listening.  I will try to update you all when I hear more too.  I can’t be there because she lives about two hours away, and besides I would be more in the way than any help at this point.  This is so important to me, please pray for my sister and her babe and her husband.  Thank you.  <3

Well I said I wanted to hang out in a birthing room before having the baby, but this is not what I meant. I got rear ended today, because the girl wasn't paying attention to the four stopped cars infront her and she smacked right into me, and hard. So I am in the hospital. They're monitoring me. Baby is doing really well. I've been having consistent contractions. And they weren't excited when my cervical exam showed a shortened cervix and a centimeter dilation, and baby's head hanging really low. I haven't showed any change though in the last few hours, so they're hoping I don't dilate anymore. Basically, theyre hoping it stalls out, if not I'll be transferred an hour away to hopefully stop it till I'm atleast 35 weeks. Awesome. Though there isn't really any proof the accident started this, it could have been happening for the past few days and I just was to naive to know.

Luckily Dahlia wasn't in the car, no one got hurt, and the baby is still kicking up a storm and seems fine. The entire front of the guy's car I hit was smashed in, and my car got away with no even a scratch. He was really understanding and concerned for us, probably because it was his company car, but I still ended up with a ticket and a boat load of anxiety/stress.
